Baiba Osina

Pianist at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. Concerts as soloist and chamber musician such as International Chopin Festival Gaming, Chamber Music festival Musiktage Mondsee, Wiener Festwochen and International Music Festival Varna. First prizes at international competitions, prizewinner of the chamber music competition Thessaloniki and the J. Windisch Chamber Music Competition in Vienna. Musical education in Riga with I Graubina and S. Osokins, afterwards studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. Masterclasses e.g. with P. Badura-Skoda, E. Leonskaja.

Since 1995 accompanist at the University of Music and Theatre in Munich, 2002–2007 additional teacher at the University of Music Nuremberg-Augsburg. Piano accompanist at international master classes and competitions. Studied piano at the Hochschule für Musik in Munich, graduating with a master’s degree. Studied chamber music as a second major. Prizewinner in solo and chamber music competitions, including first and special prizes at the international chamber music competition. 1996 accepted into the support programme of the “Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now” association, voluntary work in the organisation.
