The Osaka World Expo 2025, taking place from April 13 to October 13, 2025, on Yumeshima Island, offers a unique opportunity to spotlight Cambodia’s rich cultural heritage and innovative tourism strategies.
Inspired by lessons learned at Expo 2020 Dubai, BRB Cambodia, in collaboration with All Dreams Cambodia, has crafted an engaging program that combines human interaction, cutting-edge virtual reality (VR) technology, cultural promotion, and sustainability initiatives.
This initiative positions Cambodia as a leader in responsible tourism while addressing global climate challenges.
The Osaka World Expo 2025 will be held on the theme “DESIGNING FUTURE SOCIETY FOR OUR LIVES”, with 3 subthemes:
Saving Lives
Empowering Lives
Connecting Lives
The Pavilion World will be zoned into three subtheme zones.
Pavilions for official participants and other facilities will be distributed into the three zones according to their relationships with the subthemes.
At Expo 2020 Dubai, the Cambodian pavilion successfully showcased local craftsmanship and ethical tourism initiatives. However, feedback revealed a need for more interactive and guided experiences.
To address this gap, BRB Cambodia partnered with All Dreams Cambodia to create a richer and more immersive experience for Expo 2025 Osaka attendees.

Sustainability Initiatives
All Dreams Cambodia will deploy a team of multilingual guides (fluent in Khmer, French, English, and Spanish) to the Cambodian pavilion.
These cultural ambassadors will engage directly with visitors through interactive workshops and storytelling, offering insights into Cambodia’s history, culture, and tourism opportunities.
To bring Cambodia’s wonders to life, All Dreams Cambodia has developed six VR experiences accessible via headsets. They allow visitors to virtually explore iconic landmarks and cultural traditions.
To convert interest into action, All Dreams Cambodia is offering an exclusive 12day journey that showcases Cambodia’s most iconic destinations while promoting sustainability and community support.
Siem Reap (4 days): Private sunrise tours of Angkor temples, stone carving workshops at Satcha, Osmose Ecotour, Phare Circus Show and fine dining at Embassy Restaurant.
Phnom Penh (3 days): Visit to Sipar bibliobus, Mekong River cruise featuring cultural storytelling (Urban Tales), and tours of the Royal Palace & Sosoro Museum.
Kampot & Kep (3 days): Pepper tasting at La Plantation, kayaking on the river, mangrove replanting activity, and sunset cocktails at Kep West.
Kratie (2 days): Dolphin watching on the Mekong River and homestay in Koh Trong.
This journey is labeled "Khmer Smile Odyssey: A Sustainable Journey" to reflect its focus on sustainability and the warmth of Cambodian hospitality symbolized by the Khmer smile.
5% of revenue will be allocated to educational projects supported by organizations such as Sipar and Phare Ponleu Selpak.
Visitors who scan the pavilion’s QR code will receive a 15% discount on the package price along with a free suite upgrade at selected hotels.
Visitors can also participate in a bi-monthly lucky draw to win this sustainable travel experience for two people.
Building on the success of Madama Butterfly in December 2024, All Dreams Cambodia is proud to promote upcoming performances of Mozart’s Opera Don Giovanni in December 2025 in Phnom Penh as part of its cultural exchange initiatives.
The presentation of this event at The Osaka World Expo 2025 reflects Cambodia's growing appreciation of classical music, while demonstrating its commitment to global art forms alongside its own cultural heritage.
Key Highlights:
Exclusive Performances: Annual productions scheduled during the second weekend of December from 2025 to 2027 (Don Giovanni, La Traviata, La Boheme).
Combined Travel Offers: Visitors can book “Osaka Expo Special Packages” that include an exclusive performance as part of their Cambodian experience. Visitors who scan the pavilion’s QR code will receive a 15% discount on the package price.
Carbon Offset Commitment: Emissions generated by these events will be offset through carbon credit purchases supporting Cambodian conservation projects.
As part of its commitment to sustainability, All Dreams Cambodia will calculate the carbon footprint generated by its activities at Osaka World Expo 2025 as well as its proposed tourism packages.
To offset these emissions:
Carbon credits will be purchased from verified projects within Cambodia, such as reforestation initiatives under REDD+ programs in areas like Mondulkiri or Koh Kong provinces.
Partnerships with organizations like Teuk Saat 1001 will support projects that reduce emissions while providing safe drinking water to rural communities.
For example:
• Teuk Saat’s water kiosk model eliminates the need for boiling water using wood or charcoal, significantly reducing carbon emissions.
• For every client booking a tour package with All Dreams Cambodia, $2 per person will be donated to Teuk Saat’s "Water in Schools" program providing one child with free drinking water for an entire year.
This dual approach ensures that both environmental conservation and community development are prioritized.
By integrating sustainability into every aspect of our strategy for Osaka World Expo 2025, we aim to set a new benchmark for responsible tourism diplomacy while showcasing Cambodia as a global leader in sustainable development.
This initiative positions Cambodia as a pioneer in blending tradition with innovation while fostering meaningful connections between visitors and its rich heritage — all while making measurable contributions to global climate action goals.
