All Hallows Catholic College Newsletter Michaelmas Term COLLEGE PRAYER FOR UNITY SPECIALISM SUCCESS Since September 2014 Year 7 and 8 students have been experiencing an exciting 'new look' KS3 Business and Enterprise curriculum as part of a carousel with Art, Design and Technology. Those students who are currently studying in Business and Enterprise are working on a 'clock project' which has seen them researching and designing a clock for a single customer. After half-term, work will begin making the clocks and developing an understanding of marketing. Students are to be congratulated for their enthusiasm for this project and can begin to look forward to a display of all their effort before Christmas.
Father God, who created all mankind in your image and likeness, we pray that the things which unite us will break down the walls of prejudice, racism, hatred and division. We ask this through our Lord, Jesus Christ who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, God for ever and ever. Amen
DUKE OF EDINBURGH’S AWARD Meeting Thursday 13 November, 7:00pm—8:00pm for students and parents interested in finding out more about this scheme at All Hallows Catholic College.
PARENTS AS PARTNERS As a Business and Enterprise College we encourage our students to dress in a business like fashion - "Dress for Success". For this reason, extremes of hairstyles and hair colouring are not acceptable. If in doubt about what styles and colours are not acceptable speak to your child's Year Learning Leader.
YEAR 11 MOCK EXAMS There are 25 days left until the start of the Year 11 Mock exams. Students more than one grade below flight path in their mock exams will be required to resit. These resits will take place on a Saturday.
We could compost an additional 30% of vegetable peelings and other organic waste that we throw away.
