Prayer Lord our God, you have made me in your own likeness and you love all that you have made. I thank you for all that has been positive in my life. I ask that I may live in such a way that I may learn from whatever I may find is negative or hurtful in my life. May my disabilities and weaknesses teach me how to be sensitive to individuals, that I may grow more caring and compassionate with others who experience difficulties. May I grow in strength of character through all that happens to me, living fully each day. Through Christ Our Lord. Amen.

A View of All Hallows From Westminster! David Rutley MP has written an article on the importance of Enterprise Education and the need to bring business skills and economics into the classroom at an early age. This is something we are very much at ease with at the College, and through our outreach work to a growing number of primary schools, we reach many youngsters at a very early age. David gives a special mention to All Hallows and we've printed the article here in full for you to read. Please find on page 4.

Planning Approval at last!
Parents as Partners: MOBILE TELEPHONES
We are delighted to announce that the new all weather pitch and changing pavilion was approved by the Council Planning Committee this week. Work will begin in the near future and is scheduled for completion by March 2014.
Parents and students are reminded that all students’ mobile ‘phones must be switched off between 8:55am and 3:15pm and not be used for any reason during the day. Failure to comply with this rule may result in items being confiscated, which will have to be collected from College by a parent. If a student is ill and uses the ‘sick room’, then the office staff must contact home, not the student on their mobile ‘phone. Thank you for your on-going support with this matter.
This is the number of parents who have very kindly completed the Parent View questionnaire so far. The previous data was erased when we became an academy and we would be very grateful if as many parents as possible could fill in this on-line form, so we can use the information in our college self evaluation and action planning. www.parentview.ofsted.gov.uk/. This is a key document for Ofted and we really need your help. Its fantastic news we have reached our target of 100. We are now aiming for 200 before the next half term.

We appreciate that our main switchboard gets busy at times and staff are not always available due to teaching commitments so please use the following direct number and email address as an alternative. Celebrating Success in Year 9 Students are seeing grade improvements and success in and outside of the classroom, with many students exceeding their target in their GCSE courses. Nicol Smith has continued to do well in Judo, she has got two belts in recent weeks. Callum Percival won his recent boxing match. Jessica Ainsworth and Rebecca Lynch have been representing the school in a public speaking competition. Where they were competing against students in the whole of the North West. They were absolutely amazing. Their presentation to the judging panel 'went off the scale'. In terms of outcome, they don't know yet. They are waiting to hear if they will be invited to The Young Flyers Award Ceremony on 10 May when the results will become public.
