COLLEGE PRAYER Thanksgiving prayer for life. Lord We thank you for the gift of life: for the breath that sustains life, for the food of this earth that nurtures life, for the love of family and friends without which there would be no life. We thank you for this community of All Hallows, where we can learn to become the people that you intend us to be. Amen. Prayer focus: Harvest.

MINI DASH—YEAR OF MERCY On Friday October 7, we travelled to Ellesmere Port Catholic High School to represent All Hallows at a ‘Mini-DASH’ meeting. What is Mini-DASH? Well, whilst Mr Billings and other members of the Diocesan Association of Secondary Heads (DASH) from Catholic high schools and colleges in Shrewsbury Diocese were meeting, we (the Minis) were taking part in multiple activities with students from the other schools. We were split up in to groups and were able to mix with the other students and make new friends. The theme of the day was on the Year of Mercy and caring for our creation. We enjoyed the scrabble game and an acrostic poem about mercy and we also enjoyed sharing ideas to create new Corporal and Spiritual works of Mercy and a Year of Mercy collage. Something we had never done before was to use the iPads to scan QR codes around the Hall to solve all the questions. We are looking forward to the next one.
