All Hallows Catholic College Newsletter Christmas Term COLLEGE PRAYER FOR YOUTH SUNDAY SPECIALISM SUCCESS All Hallows celebrated Global Entrepreneurship Week this week by recognising enterprising students across the whole curriculum. Subject Leaders are nominating one student or a group of student who have shown particularly strong enterprise skills in the context of their own subject areas. The BITE Faculty welcomed Rob Fox, local entrepreneur and co-founder of Envirofone who provided two days of insight into his own experience of setting up and running businesses. He also provided a guru lecture to Level 3 BTEC business students who were fascinated by his experience in marketing and PR. Year 11 students spent a whole day on Thursday working through three workshops on a Career Planning Day. One student said "it is great that we have been provided with this amount of time to really focus on our post-16 options. My ambition is to go to university after two years in the Sixth Form here, but I have found it really interesting looking at apprenticeships and beginning to think about what course I might do at university". So, all in all, lots happening, great insight into small business enterprise and marketing, forward thinking in terms of careers and a celebration of enterprise across the curriculum.

May our Lord bless and protect our young people, our children. May He always guide and protect them so that they will not fall into danger. May He protect their steps, their studies, their play, and their travels. May the Holy Spirit guide their minds and their hearts, so they grow in knowledge and wisdom. May Jesus stand as their light and way of life, with His gospel as their guide. May they always be mindful of their baptismal commitment and their place in the community of faith – the Holy Church. May their parents and the adults in their lives be right and worthy examples of Christian life. We ask all this through Christ our Lord.
