All Hallows Catholic College Newsletter Whitsun Term SPECIALISM SUCCESS
On Wednesday 10 June we hosted the Primary Languages Conference. 175 students from a range of partner primary schools attended. They took part in a workshop with a visiting theatre group and attended sessions in a variety of languages. All Hallows colleagues were impressed with the enthusiasm of primary students. Colleagues accompanying the children were highly impressed with the All Hallows students who acted as Language Ambassadors for the day. Special thanks therefore go to; Emily Hutchinson, Sophie Gilham, Josh Mock, Andzelika Domanska, Christoph Langer, Katie Webster, Oliver Crabtree, Josh Percival, Alec Terry, George Parry, Blessy Poonoly Solamon, Emma Tapp, Chen Ji, Toby Kalnins and Sean Campbell

COLLEGE PRAYER
Prayer for Stewardship Father and maker of all, you adorn all creation with splendour and beauty, and you fashion human lives in your image and likeness. Awaken in every heart reverence for the work of your hands, and renew among your people a readiness to nurture and sustain your precious gift of life. Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
COLLEGE TO MAKE A STAND AGASINST BULLYING
Each year our College community makes a stand against bullying and does an activity which gets the message across that bullying will not be tolerated here at All Hallows. Last year students made a video that can be found on our website and on YouTube. In previous years we have had pledges signed by the whole community and even planes flying overhead whilst the school community was on the field spelling out the words "All Hallows is against bullying". You can find this picture if you google the words "All Hallows Bullying". This year our community will be invited to add a fingerprint to a teardrop collage. With 1,000 staff and students in the College it will be long lasting and visible piece of artwork that will help with the message that bullying has no place in our College. RESPECT FOR OUR NEIGHBOURS
Can we please ask all parents who come to College by car to pick up or drop off their children to show respect to residents of the neighbouring streets and to consider the safety of our students? We put cones on Brooklands Avenue at busy times to prevent parking on both sides of the road, which could impede the passage of emergency vehicles to either the school or local residents’ properties, and respectfully request that visitors do not ‘double park’. On other neighbouring streets there have been instances of waiting parents blocking residents’ driveways and thus we ask parents to show respect to our neighbours and not to impede access to local properties. Your help is greatly appreciated and will assist in maintaining good relations with our local community. TRIPS IN 2015/2016
The College is already planning a number of foreign trips and other visits in the new academic year and students have all been provided with a letter containing details of these trips. You can access the letter directly via the following link
PARENTS AS PARTNERS: CLARIFICATION OF COLLEGE POLICY
Blazers and jumpers are compulsory. Students can remove their blazers in class without permission. Students can remove their jumpers with permission. Students can remove jumpers at play time on the playground without permission On a day by day basis "no jumper, no blazer days" may be declared depending on the weather that day. Students are still expected to arrive at College with full uniform. Parental support in managing the students' uniform has been received and is very much appreciated - thank you.
