COLLEGE PRAYER SPECIALISM SUCCESS Two Year 9 GCSE Business Students, Katy Chuter and Katie Wilson will be launching a KS3 Enterprise Club next week. The Club will be open to anybody in Years 7 and 8. Both students are working together to plan a variety of activities that will develop enterprising skills in younger students. They also plan to look at different job roles in business related fields with a view to stimulating interest in possible future career paths. The girls are to be congratulated on this initiative which will no doubt develop their own skills in many ways too.
Prayer for the Victims of War Lord God, no one is a stranger to you and no one is ever far from your loving care. In your kindness, watch over refugees and victims of war, those separated from their loved ones, young people who are lost, and those who have left home or who have run away from home. Bring them back safely to the place where they long to be and help us always to show your kindness to strangers and to all in need. Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen. Prayer focus: Justice and Peace
PARENTS AS PARTNERS OUTDOOR WEAR Now winter is here, we ask for the support of parents in ensuring that College policy is carried out regarding suitable coats and scarves. Coats must be a black rain jacket that can be worn over a blazer and embroidered with the College badge for all Year 7 - 10 students. Smaller jackets or hoodies are not allowed. Scarves must be dark, plain, functional and not a fashion style scarf. Students should not wear scarves and coats in the main College buildings during the day

'ABLE MATHS' On Monday 7th November All Hallows hosted an 'Able Maths' day run by Authors Abroad. A group of Year 8 students, along with students form Poynton, Tytherington and Macclesfield Academy, took part in a variety of fun puzzles and problem solving tasks. Anne Fieldhouse (a Regional Coordinator with the National Centre of Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics) challenged students to think mathematically and often outside of the box - often challenging the teachers as well! Students took part in tasks ranging from picture puzzles relating to Maths in the real world, paper folding and finished by making cubes out of train tickets! A fantastic day was had by all staff and students. This is the third time we have run this day at All Hallows and we look forward to a hosting another in the new year!
