INTRODUCTION

After much anticipation, we’re excited to formally roll out our new “E” icon logo on agent custom yard signs. This document will provide you with a general overview of the new offering, and a general timeline for the rollout.

THE NEW LOGO

Before we dive into the Agent Custom Signs, let’s first outline one of the best and most-exciting new features of this sign – the new logo.

The new official Ebby Halliday logo is the red and white “E” icon with “Ebby Halliday” in type either underneath or to the side.

This new logo is the perfect combination of honoring our extensive history and revered heritage as a real estate institution, while also presenting a forward-thinking, modern image that’s poised for future growth. We’re very excited to bring this new iteration of the Ebby Halliday logo to yard signs for the first time.

This new logo is so elevated in appearance that it will no longer be necessary for separate signage on luxury properties. This logo projects a luxury image for all price points and it has been used in all marketing materials, regardless of price point, since the fall of 2021.

THE NEW SIGN

What does the new Agent Custom Sign look like and how is it different?

The new sign is slightly larger than the existing white signs. It measures 30” tall by 24” wide compared to the current white signs, which are 28” tall and 20” wide. While only a few inches different in length and width, the additional 160 square inches of sign face does make more of an impact, particularly in a yard setting and particularly with the large prominent “E” icon.

The new sign also has a black frame. The combination of the white sign face with the black frame really makes the sign “pop” and stand out more than the previous version.

As with the current white signs, the new signs will also be made of reflective material, which makes them stand out at night when hit by the lights of a car.

But the best part? The new Agent Custom Signs include your name and contact information at the top of the sign – more prominently than it’s ever been featured in the past. And there will be no main number for your office on this version – so all leads and calls from your signs go directly to you!

THE NEW SIGN

Will there be a post version of the new sign?

Yes. The new signs will be available in a post version. New sign posts will be black.

In addition, the sign faces will be interchangeable between stake signs and post signs. All sign faces will come with pre-drilled holes for hanging on a post and they will also slip into the metal stake frame.

Note that post signs will require professional installation and removal by In the Ground Signs for an additional cost. See more details in the Frequently Asked Questions section of this document.

THE NEW RIDERS

Will the sign riders change?

Yes. The riders for the new signs will also be slightly larger to fit the new sign size. The new riders will be 6” tall by 24” wide (compared to the current 6” x 20” size). In addition, all new sign riders will be black with white type to ensure the best readability.

NOTE: The white riders for current signs will not fit the new size Custom Agent Signs. They are also white and the new signs require black riders to be compliant with our brand guidelines. Old white riders should never be used on the new Custom Agent Signs. This will be enforced.

What riders will my office offer for my Custom Agent Signs?

The following generic riders (new 6” x 24” size, black rider with white type) will be available for check out at In the Ground Signs:

THE NEW RIDERS

What riders will I be expected to order at my own expense for my Custom Agent Signs?

Any generic message rider not mentioned on the previous page will need to be ordered by the agent at the agent’s expense. Those riders cost:

• Approximately $7 each for non-reflective material – minimum order of 3

• Approximately $12.25 each for reflective material – minimum order of 3

If you wish to have your logo or photo on a rider, those will be at your expense and those riders cost:

• Approximately $15.01 each for non-reflective material – minimum order of 5

• Approximately $19.85 each for reflective material – minimum order of 5

What are the options for riders with agent photos and logos?

For agent photos/headshots, the photo will be placed on a rider with either the agent’s name and phone number, a website or other information as outlined in the example below. These riders should be requested from the Marketing Department and once approved, will be submitted to the sign company for printing.

What are the options for riders with agent photos and logos? Continued...

For agent/group logos, the logo is to appear on a black background either reversed out in all white (which provides the best visibility), or reversed out in white with one brand color as a spot color. These riders should be requested from the Marketing Department and once approved, will be submitted to the sign company for printing.

Again – photo and logo riders should be requested from the Marketing Department and we will be as flexible as we can, but we must maintain our brand integrity with the new signs. Per company policy, agents are not allowed to create their own riders or their own signs at any time. Also note that agent logos and photos may not be printed on the sign faces – only on riders.

What are the advantages of ordering my own custom signs?

By ordering your own signs, yours is the only contact information featured on the sign – all leads from your custom signs will go to you. In addition, with the larger size of the new signs, and the placement of your name/contact information at the top of the sign, you will be more prominent than ever. And with the reflective sign face material, you’ll be as visible to passersby at night as you are during the day.

But the biggest advantage of the new signs is utilizing In the Ground Signs for storage, installation and removal - all via a user-friendly app. This allows you to spend more time doing what you do best - serving your clients and developing business. All orders of Custom Agent Signs will include enrollment in the In the Ground Signs warehousing/ installation/removal service. More information on pricing, as well as alternate instructions should you choose to opt out of this service, may be found later in this document.

What is the cost of a custom sign?

STAKE SIGNS:

QTY 3-5 (3 is minimum) – $70.50 each

QTY 6-11 – $65.30 each

QTY 12-24 – $60.55 each

POST SIGNS*:

QTY 3 – $126.49 each

QTY 6 or 9 – $121.39 each

QTY 12, 15, 18, 21 or 24 – $118.38 each

*Post signs must be ordered in increments of 3 due to shipping. Post signs also require professional installation and take down as well as shipping to and storage at In the Ground Signs. Can I ship my Custom Agent Signs to my home?

Will I be allowed to store these signs at my office?

By ordering Custom Agent Signs, you will automatically be enrolled in the In the Ground Signs program (see more details in the next section). By using this service, they will take the hassle of sign storage, installation and removal off your plate.

All orders of Agent Custom Signs will be shipped to the In the Ground Signs warehouse in the D-FW area and you will set up an account with their Up Sign Down App where you can request installation and removal (as well as see your inventory) and make payments.

If you opt out of In the Ground Signs service when you place your order for Custom Agent Signs, your signs will need to be shipped to your home address. Note that deliveries to residential addresses may incur an additional flat fee per box. You will be provided with a shipping quote prior to payment.

In addition, if you opt out of In the Ground Signs service, please note that your Custom Agent Signs will need to be stored at your home or other place of your choosing.

What is In the Ground Signs?

In the Ground Sign is a respected, DFW-based business that manages storage, installation and removal of real estate signs. We currently have 400+ EHC agents who utilize a service for their sign storage, install and retrieval, and they love it - particularly the extra time it provides them to focus on taking care of clients and developing business. The best part about their service is that it’s app based - as an agent you download the “Up Sign Down” app from the App Store and from the app you can see your personal sign inventory and make requests for installation, rider changes and removal.

What services does In the Ground Signs offer, and what are their fees?

What can I have printed on my custom sign?

Custom signs allow for your name, group name (if applicable), phone number, email address or website address (4 lines total - no more) to be printed on the sign face.

Photos and logos are not options to be printed on sign faces – but those items may be printed on sign riders.

What are the options for Groups and Teams with multiple members?

There are two options for Groups and Teams with multiple members.

OPTION 1 - each Group/Team member purchases their own signs with their name on the first line, Group/Team name on the second line, then that member’s phone and email address.

OPTION 2 - the Group/Team may order personalized group signs with just the Group/Team name, general phone number and email, then group members add riders with their names and personal phone numbers. This option allows for sign inventory to be shared among group members.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Am I required to order custom signs?

No. Custom signs are optional. If you do not wish to order your own custom sign, you may continue to use the current inventory of signs from your office (with the office phone number printed on it) and include a rider with your name and contact information.

However, the only signs that will include the new “E” icon logo will be the Agent Custom Signs. Custom signs are an excellent investment in your business and brand.

Custom Signs Note: starting this fall, all brand-new agents who join Ebby Halliday will be purchasing 3 Custom Signs as part of their onboarding process.

What signs are being replaced now?

We are adding the new “E” icon Custom Agent Signs as a new option.

The current white signs will remain in our inventory for those needing office signs.

Because the current black luxury signs are becoming more of an outlier from current branding, they will be discontinued at some point. Current inventory of black luxury signs will not be replaced, which is why we encourage everyone to strongly consider taking advantage of this Custom sign offering right now to have your individual branding on all

Is the new “E” icon logo Custom Agent Sign for luxury homes only?

No. The new logo will be used for all price points. Our new mantra is that luxury is an experience, not a price point, and we want all of our clients to feel like they are receiving luxury service from Ebby Halliday. Our worldclass Marketing Department has put considerable effort and thought into evolving our branding to resonate with all sellers, all price points and all homes. As we move forward, our branding will be consistent and current luxury variants, including the black sign, will be discontinued.

If you want to differentiate your listing as a luxury listing with the new Agent Custom Signs, we will have riders with

the Luxury Portfolio International logo that you may add to the top of either a post or stake sign as long as the price of the home meets the Luxury Portfolio threshold.

Having the new Custom Agent Sign for luxury listings in particular is going to project a modern luxury image for both your property and for you. It’s a great investment in your personal brand as much as it is for the property.

Can I create my own yard signs at my own expense?

No. Per the Ebby Halliday Companies guidelines, agents are not allowed to create their own riders or their own signs at any time.

When can I order a custom sign?

Custom signs can be ordered at any time starting August 12th. However, hurry up and place your orders because from August 12 to September 16, 2022 , for every order that is placed, you will be entered into a drawing for one of the below items:
