THE BEGINNING

Diana Spencer, the fourth child of Frances and Edward Althorp, was born on July 1, 1961. She would later take the title Lady Diana Spencer, after her father became Earl Spencer, in 1975.

He attended Riddlesworth Hall School and then a boarding school, West Heath School.

On July 29, 1981 at St. Paul's Cathedral, in the presence of 2,650 guests, Diana married with then Prince Charles of England.

In a fairy tale wedding that was also dubbed the wedding of the century: a total of two million people took to the streets of the city of London to see the wedding party and more than 750 million people followed the wedding over the world.

HER CHILDREN SAVED' HER LIFE

Diana and Carlos had two sons: Prince William Arthur Phillip Louis, born on June 21, 1982, and Prince Henry Charles Albert David, born on September 15, 1984.

She also showed them that it was possible to follow your heart and not be just a puppet of the system.

THE INFLUENCER

She was committed to different charitable causes such as: the fight against AIDS, helping homeless youth and improving the situation of homeless youth in the United Kingdom, the fight against the use of landmines, among other causes in the company of some of his friends such as former president Nelson Mandela, Mother Teresa of Calcutta and Pope John Paul II.

Whether it was her philanthropy or her great fashion sense, the Princess of Wales proved that she was never one to follow the herd, creating her own style and acting in her own way.

Almost converted into a symbol, Lady Di ensured that people who suffered from AIDS were seen as sick people and nothing more It was the beginning of a fight against the disease that became global and still continues. A great step for humanity, without a doubt.

Refusing to comply with the image demands of the royal house, she sought new ways to cope with fabulous wealth, world fame and high expectations. She approached and touched AIDS patients –a taboo at the time –and traveled to former combat zones to highlight the danger that landmines posed to civilians.

On August 31, 1997, Diana Spencer, Princess of Wales, died from injuries sustained in a car accident that occurred inside the Alma tunnel, in Paris (France). A

Although her funeral was not as officially carried out by the royal family, the people’s princess was so beloved that the royals did everything possible for the somber occasion, in the end the mother of the future king of England was buried.
