Eric was born and raised in the Willamette Valley to a multigenerational farm family that produced cannery crops, strawberries, livestock, and an azalea nursery. After graduating from Oregon State University Eric worked for the Farm Credit System for fifteen years supporting Oregon farm families and their capital needs. For the past four years Eric has worked for an Ag Investment Firm continuing his career through the firm's lending and investing activities. Today Eric helps lead a group with investments in Tree Fruit, Hops, Grapes, Dairy and nearly two dozen key ag commodities in Washington, Oregon, California, Georgia, North Carolina and more.

Eric and his wife Trisha run a small consulting business in the community helping guide clients that need help with financial preparation, accounting, and working with their lenders With the help of their three children, they have operated a direct-toconsumer meat and egg business out of their farm helping feed the communities of Salem and Albany while teaching their kids about hard work and customer services

Professional Background: For nearly 30 years, I have had the privilege of growing alongside Spirit Mountain Casino & Hotel, starting as a founding team member and working my way up to Group Sales Representative. This journey has given me firsthand experience in nearly every aspect of the business, from frontline operations to coordinating large-scale events. My role allows me to bring people together, creating seamless and memorable experiences for groups of all sizes. Through dedication, adaptability, and a deep understanding of hospitality, I take pride in ensuring every event at Spirit Mountain is more than just a gathering it’s an experience to remember

You and your company’s community involvement: Spirit Mountain Casino is deeply committed to giving back through the Spirit Mountain Community Fund, which has contributed over $100 million to nonprofit organizations across Oregon, including Linn County. The fund focuses on supporting initiatives in education, health, public safety, arts and culture, environmental preservation, and historic preservation. In Linn County, recent recipients include ABC House, which received a $50,000 grant to expand child abuse intervention services, and Ophelia’s Place, which was awarded $50,000 to provide mentorship and support programs for young girls Additionally, local efforts like the Healing Hearts with Horses program have received funding to provide equine-assisted therapy for individuals experiencing trauma Through these contributions, the Community Fund continues to make a lasting impact, ensuring vital resources reach those who need them most.
