Eric was born and raised in the Willamette Valley to a multigenerational farm family that produced cannery crops, strawberries, livestock, and an azalea nursery. After graduating from Oregon State University Eric worked for the Farm Credit System for fifteen years supporting Oregon farm families and their capital needs. For the past four years Eric has worked for an Ag Investment Firm continuing his career through the firm's lending and investing activities. Today Eric helps lead a group with investments in Tree Fruit, Hops, Grapes, Dairy and nearly two dozen key ag commodities in Washington, Oregon, California, Georgia, North Carolina and more.
Eric and his wife Trisha run a small consulting business in the community helping guide clients that need help with financial preparation, accounting, and working with their lenders With the help of their three children, they have operated a direct-toconsumer meat and egg business out of their farm helping feed the communities of Salem and Albany while teaching their kids about hard work and customer services

In Linn County, recent recipients include ABC House, which received a $50,000 grant to expand child abuse intervention services, and Ophelia’s Place, which was awarded $50,000 to provide mentorship and support programs for young girls Additionally, local efforts like the Healing Hearts with Horses program have received funding to provide equine-assisted therapy for individuals experiencing trauma Through these contributions, the Community Fund continues to make a lasting impact, ensuring vital resources reach those who need them most.
