There’s no better time to support our local businesses than around the holidays, where you spend your money matters.
Local Businesses are at the very core of our community. When you shop, eat, spend, and support local businesses you feel more connected to the community we share, and you contribute to strengthening our local economy. Our local businesses provide unique products and services that you, your family and friends, and your business want and need.
Did you know that local businesses generate approximately $68 local economic return for every $100 spent? This money is returned to our community through job creation, purchases at other local businesses, and business support of non-profits and our schools.
The Albany Area Chamber works year-round to provide free and low cost marketing and advertising opportunities for our members, and this publication is just one example. We hope that you will support local businesses and support our community.
Don’t know what to give to family, friends and employees and want to buy local? The Albany Area Chamber’s Chamber Dollar program supports local businesses by offering Chamber Dollars that may be spent at Chamber businesses. It’s like a citywide gift certificate! Chamber Dollars are easy to purchase and easy to use. Simply contact the Chamber at 541-926-1517 or stop into the office at 435 1st Ave. W to purchase.
