PREFAZIONE

Vento & Associati è una realtà di advisory e consulenza per l’industria creativa e culturale e per l’impresa sociale, che opera a Milano, in Italia. Andrea Vento, imprenditore culturale e direttore generale della società, si è occupato di promozione e valorizzazione culturale, oltre ad essere protagonista nelle relazioni internazionali e istituzionali, curando rapporti con multinazionali del settore finanziario ed industriale. Tra il 2006 e il 2008 ha diretto la campagna internazionale per l’assegnazione a Milano di EXPO 2015. È autore di numerosi saggi ed è vincitore del Premio Acqui Storia 2011 con In silenzio gioite e soffrite.

Producendo la mostra Axis : London Milano, Vento & Associati, in collaborazione con l’associazione Milano Vapore e l’Alan Rankle Studio di Londra, nell’ambito del progetto Spazi al Talento del Comune di Milano – Fabbrica del Vapore, e con il patrocinio del Consolato Generale britannico a Milano, ha deciso di celebrare il lancio degli spazi espositivi di Tracce di Vapore, con un tributo alla London scene dell’arte contemporanea. La mostra racchiude le risposte ad un’indagine sul rapporto tra abilità di una tecnica personale e il ruolo cruciale dell’artista di creare una connessione profonda e reale con la condizione umana. In tal senso Rankle segue il percorso dei contrari stati dell’anima umana, secondo l’ispirazione di William Blake nei Canti dell’Innocenza e dell’Esperienza.

E’ stato chiesto al Maestro Alan Rankle un esercizio il cui virtuosismo e la sensibilità degli autori possa interagire con la drammaticità di questo tempio post-industriale. Un esercizio perfettamente riuscito: grazie a Rankle e co-curatore Claudia De Grandi e agli artisti selezionati, la Londra dell’arte e della cultura non cessa di essere vicina ai nostri cuori, in un anno purtroppo contraddistinto dal distacco della Brexit. Per questo, nel corso del 2018, V&A, assieme all’Alan Rankle Studio produce altre due mostre di richiamo e rilevanza internazionale.

Vento & Associati is an advisory and consulting agency working out of Milan, Italy providing services for the culture and creativity industry and social enterprises. Andrea Vento, the company’s cultural entrepreneur and CEO, has a background in cultural promotion and international and institutional relations, managing relations with multinationals in the industrial and finance sectors. In 2006-2008 he directed the international campaign to bring Expo 2015 to Milan. He is the author of numerous essays and winner of the 2011 Acqui Storia Prize for his In silenzio gioite e soffrite.

Vento & Associati celebrates the launch of the Tracce di Vapore exhibition venue by producing the exhibition Axis : London Milano, a tribute to the London scene in contemporary art and part of the City of Milan’s and Fabbrica del Vapore’s ‘Spazi al Talento’ project. The exhibition is staged in collaboration with the Milano Vapore association and the Alan Rankle Studio of London, and enjoys the sponsorship of the British Consulate General in Milan. It presents the outcomes of an inquiry into the relationship between the skills of personal technique and the crucial role of the artist in creating a deep and real connection with the human condition. Rankle pursues this by exploring opposing states of the human soul, drawing inspiration from William Blake’s Songs of Innocence and of Experience.

Alan Rankle was invited to create interactive relations between the virtuosity and sensitivity of the artists and the drama of this post-industrial Temple. The exercise has been a complete success: thanks to Rankle and co-curator Claudia De Grandi and the selected artists, artistic and cultural London never ceases to be close to our hearts in a year unfortunately marred by the Brexit divorce. The effort continues in 2018 with two other exhibitions of international allure and relevance being produced by V&A partnering with the Alan Rankle Studio.
