The intention was never to play it safe by maintaining the status quo. We were born to grow. And boy, did we do just that. Like the rollercoaster of painful, sometimes mortifying, awkward, yet ultimately endearing journey of growing up – we experienced and felt it all. For those who missed the show, imagine one moment you’re the star of the team on top of the world, and the next, your voice cracks mid-cheer, turning you into an impromptu soprano, all while suddenly tripping over your own two feet and elongated limbs from an impromptu growth spurt. In retrospect, those memories serve as reminders of our resilience through the most trying of transformations. Painstakingly crafted and stronger than ever.
Wowzers! Did that just happen?! The magnitude of energy, excitement, and overall passion for design and our industry was felt well beyond Chicago this year.
We set out to accomplish one thing this year – to DISRUPT anyone and everyone’s perception of Clarus. NeoCon was our battle cry. We stormed the walls of The Mart, took over the show, and reclaimed our place as the leader in glass visual product solutions.
There were emotional and surreal moments where I’d look around as our showroom was completely packed, and all I could think about was the team back home and the 2,976 hours before the doors of The Mart ever opened. With our backs against the wall, we rolled up our sleeves and forged ahead with grit and determination as #oneclarus. Everyone stepped up. The individual passion and commitment to the group effort was the hero of this year’s NeoCon execution. I’ve never been more proud and grateful to work alongside the people that occupy this building and beyond.

The Celebration of Materiality was the focus of Neocon 2023 as we put the phrase, “I didn’t know you could that” behind us. We proved glass is a truly remarkable material that possesses an array of diverse properties for limitless applications. Digitally printed designs can be made to effortlessly mimic a range of popular materials, such as marble, stone, tile, fabric, wood, and dimensional textures to achieve the desired aesthetic without the maintenance and cleanliness issues inherent with these material surfaces.
Visitors also got to experience everything from our floor to ceiling ColorDrop™ printed biophilia, to our beautiful new glass colors, frame colors, PET colors, and custom shapes.
In addition, we showcased new product modifications that are made to enhance new and existing spaces. Starting with Glide TV, an interactive experience that combines technology with sliding glass panels, to go! mobile modifications that answer the hybrid work call, the need for space division and privacy, while increasing functionality and design.
We hosted several activations and experiences throughout Neocon 2023, starting with our VIP Reception on Sunday Night. Our Sales Team and VIP guests were wowed by the biophilic and dichroic models, the photobooth, and the addition of Magic and Cocktails. The unveiling of the showroom also drew widespread praise, with visitors impressed by our product modification, printing capabilities, and overall theme of Neocon 2023. One of the last wonders of the night was the surprise announcement about our new partnership and collaboration with an industry designer, Justin Champaign.
We started Monday with a ton of energy at our Hare of the Rabbit Happy Hour. This event was well attended and enjoyed by visitors. In fact, we saw a continuous crowd of people throughout the day. We had over 5,000 guests in our showroom on Monday!
Between our photobooth wall, Dichroic and Biophilic Models, and our Claricature Artist, we had an experience for everyone.
Tuesday's CuriosiTEA Happy Hour was once again a hit, with all 200+ 'Drink Me' shots quickly consumed. The was showroom filled with enthusiastic designers. On Tuesday, we had over 4,000 attendees visit the showroom!
By the end of the show, our Claricature Artist, Benjamin, had drawn over 200 Claricatures! Some folks even waited in line for over an hour! What a hit!
Overall, Neocon 2023 was an unforgettable experience for all involved. From the showstopping showroom to the "Black Friday" crowds, Clarus once again pulled out all the stops to make this a Neocon to remember.
New Printer: As you know with new equipment, you can experience hiccups in the beginning. Unfortunately, we started experiencing issues with our new printers a few weeks ago, resulting in us rejecting hundreds of samples as they came off the line. We have reprinted numerous times with the same result, therefore decided to halt production and await a solution from the manufacturer. The manufacturer made some adjustments to the equipment in hopes it alleviates the issues we are experiencing. We are running tests and will start re-printing all the remaining samples as quickly as possible. We will communicate accordingly as soon as I have an update on the status. Thank you for your patience while we work to resolve this issue. Our printer manufacturer and Clarus are dedicated to fixing this issue as quickly as possible.

Post Neocon Roadshow and Updated Rep Kits: We want to assure you that we are working diligently to fulfill the rep kits as promised. However, we encountered some unexpected printer issues which was communicated earlier by Brittney Ricks.
