STMA was established on May 18, 1990 as the first privately owned maritime agency in the former Soviet Union and May 18, 2005 we are celebrating our 15th anniversary of successful and fruitful business relations and devoted service to you. Throughout the years we have encountered many obstacles and difficulties, but at the same time we have learned and gained better knowledge of our business. We manage to confront the hindrances and continue in the new century with growing confidence, stability and economical ascendancy. We systematically enlarge our presence in Baltic States, C.I.S. and Russia. This will allow our customers to receive a full complex of up-to-date, quality, technological services at the world standards always and everywhere. In addition to our main office in Tallinn ESTMA has at its disposal ESTMA SIA that operates in Latvia and offices in the largest Estonian ports. Today we are glad and proud to announce that we own fully self-sufficient offices in Russia (Moscow, Saint-Petersburg and Ekaterinburg) to allow our customers controlled distribution and door delivery on the territory of Russian Federation. Besides services in Estonia and Latvia ESTMA has companies with operations in Russia (moscow, St.Petersburg, Ekaterinburg), Lithuania (Klaipeda, Vilnius) and Ukraine (Odessa).

By today it has evolved into a completely independent and operational enterprise. In 1998 the Lithuanin branch of ESTMA appeared and has become a freight forwarding department and a ship agent in the port of Klaipeda. Klaipeda is the northernmost ice–free port city on the Eastern coast of the Baltic Sea. It is the most important and the biggest Lithuanian transport hub, connecting sea, land and railway routes from East to West.

In 2004 ESTMA has started its operations in major Russian cities: Moscow and Saint-Petersburg. Already they are delivering services in ship agency and freight forwarding departments, specifically for containerized cargo. Ekaterinburg office was added in 2006. These cities, that together combine 15% of Russian population, are the main centers: economical, cultrual, finacial, political, and are the main entrance gates to Russia, where all trends are defined.

Recently ESTMA has started its operations in Ukraine in the city of Odessa located on the Black Sea, the chief trade and fishing port city of the country, with its harbor kept open in winter by icebreakers. It also is a major manufacturing, railroad, and cultural center and, with its mild climate, a popular resort.

STMA Terminal Ltd. provides a high-grade of professional, warehousing and terminal services. It also has a customs license for providing bonded warehouse services.
Warehouse acts as a consolidation and distribution centre for European and third country cargoes. The entire warehouse complex is insured and is under constant professional manned, electronic and video surveillance. All safety measures are strictly enforced.
Storage capacity and Service facilities Covered storage: 12,000 sqm for 3,900 pc of EUR/FIN. Open-air storage: 3,000 sqm for 100 pc of car, 64 pc of containers (20’), 23 pc of trailers. Container depot: 8,000 sqm open air storage area for containers and trailers. Terminal has at its possession a direct railway branch with an immediate access to the main railroad. ESTMA Terminal performs quality control, cargo inspection and regular stock checks practising flexible handling operations with wide variety of cargoes. At ESTMA Terminal we handle all necessary documentation including all custom formalities.
