Once you’ve built a relationship with the nonprofit organization, you can ask them to introduce you to corporations who could be potential sponsors. You might say to the nonprofit: “I’d like to take this to the next level and do some radio advertising that also mentions you. I’d like to get funding for it, so who are you already working with? If you’d like, I’d be happy to approach them. Or if you’d introduce me that would be great. I’ll see if they have room in their budget to maybe allocate an extra $10,000 to $20,000 and we’ll get you on the radio.”
