This quarter we celebrate the long career of Alabama trucking legend Buddy Moore, who along with his family, recently marked their business's twentieth year of operation. Trucking's a rough business, and it wasn't always easy for Buddy, but he and his family have kept the current operation rolling with the right mix of experience, determination and respect for drivers. ATA's Ford Boswell's story starts on page 4, which includes work from nationally acclaimed photographer Cary Norton, whose images have appeared in the New York Times and Smithsonian Magazine.
Also inside, ATA CEO Mark Colson shares thoughts on the 2020 Alabama Legislative Session from medical marijuana to business tax policy. And we also meet Alabama’s re-loaded Alabama Road Team, ATA’s hand-picked squad of professional truckers bringing the powerful message of highway safety while showcasing industry opportunity to youth across Alabama.
There's also scads of news and information about the goings-on of Alabama's vital trucking industry.
