KALIBO, Aklan, (PIA6) -- The presence of wildlife species in a locality indicate a healthy biodiversity, according to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) here. This is the reaction of the DENR on the presence of thousands of barn swallow birds or “salimbabatang” in the local dialect which are flocking at dusk in Poblacion, Banga, which has caused concern among local residents who fear these birds could affect their health.
