dren said in an interview. According to Villanueva, parents should take note if their child allots so much time in using the internet and the exposure to such is beyond normal. Parents should also be alarmed if their child does not want to share what is being viewed in the internet, instead the child hides or deletes the history of the visited websites. Villanueva explained that a child usually spends chatting to many children or age group. It is a red flag for the parents if they notice that the child is only communicating to one person, where thay have not been meeting in person. She said that this child actually would want someone to talk to but the only available are those people online. Likewise, a child avoiding social media should not be taken for granted by parents as the former might be a victim already. It is an indication, according to Villanueva, that something is happening with the child in social media but chooses not to tell anyone. It is also a red flag for parents if the child commits absenteeism in school; avoids talking to parents and friends; and even isolates oneself. Moreover, parents should be watchful for the changes of behavior of their child. The child might be anxious that may fall into depression, as well as the mental health of the victim may change due to the possible violence and abuse that the child is experiencing online.
