THE GRID

Theme: The project involves refining a competition runner-up entry design to enhance its functionality and align it with a designated design theme. Through strategic modifications, the goal is to create a seamlessly integrated design that not only operates more effectively but also embodies a cohesive and distinctive theme.

The multifunctional edifice, spanning a site area of 15,375 square meters, seamlessly integrates residential, office, and hotel spaces. This visionary structure originated as the runner-up design in an architectural competition and underwent meticulous modifications to optimize its functionality. The central tenet of the design revolves around a grid system, manifesting in the external structure that serves as the foundation for precast balconies-a distinctive architectural element. This amalgamation of diverse functions within a singular building not only epitomizes versatility but also underscores the adaptability of architectural concepts to meet the evolving demands of modern urban landscapes.

¢ I express sincere gratitude to Dr. Leon A. Morenas for guiding me throughout this academic semester. Special thanks to my friends Lokesh Verma and Muhammad Yasir for their unwavering support, contributing to the success of this design project.

FORMA NEXUS CENTER

Theme:

The task is to create a school campus tailored for Bauhaus School students and submit it as a competition entry. This design endeavor seeks to provide an innovative and functional educational environment.

The design ethos for the Bauhaus campus adheres fervently to the fundamental principle of "form follows function," a hallmark of the eponymous architectural movement, Bauhaus architecture. Embracing this tenet, the campus design is a testament to a harmonious fusion of aesthetic integrity and practical utility. The architectural identity, synonymous with Bauhaus, is meticulously preserved, paying homage to its avant-garde legacy. The multifaceted functionality of the edifice caters primarily to educational pursuits, encompassing classrooms, art studios, workshops, a hostel, and an auditorium. This holistic approach reflects the Bauhaus commitment to seamlessly integrating form and function, thereby fostering an environment conducive to creativity, learning, and artistic expression.

¢ I express sincere gratitude to Anjali Mittal for guiding me throughout this academic semester. Special thanks to my friends Shubham Kumar, Harshit Rathore and Samruddhi Duratkar for their unwavering support, contributing to the success of this design project.

BEYOND CANVAS

This artwork delves into the narrative of an individual who ingeniously crafts their own life atmosphere within the confines of a COVID cell, unaware of the boundless expanse beyond. Depicting life as an egg enclosed in glass, symbolic of the pandemic isolation, the piece unfolds a transformation. As the cell opens, the egg reveals a panorama of limitless freedom, symbolizing the untapped expanses awaiting discovery once the constraints of the pandemic are transcended. It encapsulates the theme of resilience and the potential for renewal amid life's restrictions.

CARVED CANVAS

The stone carving, a venture by the startup firm Borrowed Earth Collaborative, breathes individuality into each element, embodying delicateness and brittleness. Drawing inspiration from diverse sourcesthe gong's woven pattern, the moon's split, desert waves, and pleat vertical lines-a distinctive identity is meticulously crafted. Various stones lend unique characteristics to each design. Exhibited at the KBIS exhibition,Las Vegas, this collection marks the firm's launch, showcasing an innovative fusion of inspiration and craftsmanship. In my tenure as the Treasurer Designee at the National Association of Students of Architecture India (NASA), my tenure has been characterized by meaningful connections and significant responsibilities aimed at serving students. The role involves facilitating diverse platforms, including architectural style competitions, lectures by renowned architects, and workshops, fostering an environment for students to explore their potential. The challenges presented by the COVID-19 lockdown demanded innovative solutions. During the 64th year council, our team worked diligently to ensure the uninterrupted provision of these services to students, culminating in the successful execution of the Annual NASA Convention. Overcoming adversities, we remained steadfast in our commitment to empowering students in the field of architecture.
