I am excited to apply for the Summer Architecture Internship 2025 at Gensler. With over three years of experience in the architectural field combining professional practice in Bangladesh and academic studies in the USA I bring a well-rounded and diverse perspective to the role. My background spans residential, commercial, communityoriented, and public space projects, with proficiency in Design principles, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, and basic knowledge of Revit and Grasshopper.
During my time at the Group of Architects and Thinkers, I contributed to large-scale public and residential projects, including the Tepakhola Lake development in Bangladesh, where I designed key amenities that seamlessly blend function with natural surroundings. My role involved creating architectural drawings, 3D models, and construction documents, refining my skills across all phases of the design process. At Onno Architects, I helped design an Ayurvedic Wellness Resort using sustainable materials like rammed earth. At Garbageman, I developed upcycling centers for Rohingya refugee camps, emphasizing the use of local and recycled materials.
I also founded Studio Blank, where I led design and construction supervision for residential and spiritual projects, overseeing the entire process from concept to execution. In addition to my technical expertise in drafting and 3D modeling, I am adept at using visualization tools such as Lumion, Enscape, V-Ray, D5, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator to create compelling design presentations. I have hands-on experience preparing construction documents, collaborating with clients, and coordinating with contractors and consultants to ensure projects are delivered efficiently from concept to completion.
My work has been recognized through achievements like winning third prize in the Impulsive Schooling competition and the publication of my B.Arch thesis, Baad Ijtema, on Archiprix International and ContextBD. These experiences have reinforced my belief in the power of thoughtful design to inspire and address human needs. Outside of work, I enjoy exploring nature, continually inspiring my design work. Activities such as hiking and visiting natural places deepen my appreciation for natural forms and sustainable practices.
