Schylbea J. Hopkins – Golden Soror of the Year

Evaluation Criteria: This graduate award is based on achievements of the Golden Soror in your chapter. Consideration will be given to leadership and support of ideas and goals of the Sorority. Each category will be validated with supporting documentation. A soror must be nominated by her chapter and she must attend this Regional Conference or provide evidence of incapacities.

OVERALL CRITERIA – 90 POINTS

I Must have been recognized by the Corporate Office as a 50-year Soror. 20 II Must have been financially active with participating chapter at least five (5) years preceding her chapter’s nomination 20

III Provide evidence of active participation with three or more committees at least two years preceding her nomination 20

IV Be a Life Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated V Present evidence of volunteer community service during the last five (5) years preceding her chapter’s nomination 10

(Easy to follow, clear and concise, appropriate grammar and appropriate # of pages) COVER - 5 POINTS

(Should include chapter name, name of award, and chapter location) Notes: Scrapbook with journaling required. Date of documentation should be as listed in each of the bullets. Maximum # of pages 15
