The Book You wouldn’t want to be a Mammoth Hunter! is a historical fiction book because the Ice-Age actually happened but the reason it’s fictitious is because they made a character for you. This book was good because I got to learn about the past and I got tips on what to do if I was in the Ice Age. Some of the hints were: make the entrance to your bone house from a curved pair of mammoth tusks, hang a flap over the bone to act as a door and give your spear a hard tip by heating it over a fire to dry its sap. (Make sure it doesn’t catch on fire). My favorite thing about the book was the handy tips. In this book I learned that living back then was extremely tough because they didn’t have Spar or Pick n Pay and they had to hunt and make their own
houses without machines. They had to make their tools by hand. I think that after reading this book that I’m going to try and be more grateful for what I have.
