SUMMER CHALLENGE YOUTH SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP & LEADERSHIP

THE PROGRAM

Spain is being positioned as a leader society in Youth Entrepreneurship, led by a new generation of activists and politicians, with bottom-up initiatives enhancing social and political participation. These changes can be explained both by a new understanding of governance and the demands of new options that youth citizens require to take part and transform their surroundings. The Summer Challenge: Youth Social Entrepreneurship & Leadership program aims to empower their participants to become Social Leaders. A program based on experiential learning to inspire, motivate and make the students reflect on the kind of impact they can have, learn how to identify the main challenges and how to take action. In this program, the participant will learn how to create a positive social impact through Social Entrepreneurship and through the Changemaker process. It describes the discovery and sustainable exploitation of opportunities to create social change. We will introduce the participants to examples of Social Entrepreneurship and guidance on the process of establishing a venture to address a social or environment problem. The participant will form of team and study a problematic issue to learn more about the source of the problem. The program will equip participants with frameworks identifying opportunities, support their team, and outlining their idea through the Changemaker Process. The Changemaker process

The Changemaker process refers to 7 steps to follow so the youth can become Agents of Change, with the experience and the necessary tools to create a positive change in their environment. They become familiar with Changemaking concepts, methodologies and curriculum, implementation processes and facilitator’s skills. The 7 steps are: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7.
