The rains and cooler weather we experienced in August are a welcome change. I know we have a way to go before the harvest is in the bin, but I am optimistic and excited about this fall's potential. The grain storage and handling equipment your cooperative has invested in over the last several years is ready to help your operations handle your crop. I am incredibly excited about the Maywood and Edison projects. They will both ready to receive grain, and the increased dumping capacity and permanent storage in those locations will ensure that you can get your trucks dumped and back to the field quickly.
As you start your preparations for fall harvest, I would again ask that you please check the traps on your grain trailers, and if they need maintenance or be rebuilt, please consider getting that done. Traps may open fine when the hopper is empty, but it may be tough to open when that trap gets a load on it. We have had several injuries to our employees attributable to traps that had not been adequately maintained. Our employees are our most important asset. If they are injured and cannot perform their duties, our ability to provide you the quality service you desire and deserve becomes compromised. I appreciate your help!
While most of us are focused on the fall crop, it is never too early to start planning for next year's crop. Preparations are being made to ensure you have the agronomic inputs you need for next spring. Your Ag Valley agronomist will contact you in the next few weeks as we roll out our spring fertilizer and chemical programs. We will have some attractive financing options with our CFA program this year, and I encourage you to visit with us as you prepare for next year.
As I finish up, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your business and your support of Ag Valley Co-op. The employees of Ag Valley Co-op all know that without you, we would not exist, and we are incredibly thankful that you allow us to be part of your operation. We try daily to bring value to you and your family farm. Your success is our success, and we will continue to focus on things that help make you successful. Have a safe and bountiful harvest, and please do not hesitate to give me a call anytime. I would enjoy the chance to visit with you.
Thank you,
Jeff Krejdl

Ag Valley Co-op recently partnered with the Land O'Lakes Foundation and CoBank to support local FFA chapters through the CoBank Sharing Success Program. This collaboration resulted in a donation of $60,000, distributed among eight local FFA chapters. These chapters applied for the funds that will be used to further the chapters' goals and initiatives,
fostering the development of the next generation of agricultural leaders. Ag Valley Co-op is proud to invest in the future of agriculture through these contributions.
