The All-Round Trophy Awards For the second year it was not possible to have face-to-face interviews with the candidates nominated for the All-Round Trophy Awards. President Stuart Cummings and President-Elect Ken McHardy with the help of specially co-opted Holly Imperiale, herself the winner of the Women’s Trophy in 2018, met by Zoom call to consider the submissions of the candidates. Each candidate had made detailed submissions on their academic success, their School background, their sporting and other interests, their leadership and citizenship achievements and their involvement in extracurricular activities. Selecting the awardees was made difficult due to the very high quality of those presented for consideration. With helpful input from Assistant Head Teacher Janet Adams the committee were able to make their choices and the names of the winners appear on the Prize List at page 9 above.

The Phil Love Trophy The Trophy has been awarded this year to Jenna Penman. Jenna started to play football for Westdyke Community Club when she was aged 8, and progressed up to the Women’s team. While playing there she was selected for the Scottish schools U-15 team and played against Wales, Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic. Later that year she was selected for the Scottish Women’s Football Association U-16 squad where she captained games against Poland, Germany, Portugal and the Netherlands. Jenna then moved to Dundee United Women’s football team, staying with them for a year. During this time she was selected for the SWFA U-17 squad, where she played against Italy, Northern Ireland, Sweden, Hungary and Poland. She next moved to Aberdeen Women’s Football Club where she currently plays. This team are looking to finish the season strong and to be promoted into the Scottish Women’s Premier League 1 (they being currently in SWPL 2) as they are at the top of the table around 10 points in front. Jenna has recently been selected for the U-19 SWFA squad. Her commitment to women’s football and her promotion of it in School make her a worthy winner of this Trophy.
