Self Clinching Nuts & Studs

Self Clinch Nuts in round or hexagon

Self Clinch Studs, in various sizes

Both available in, Steel & Stainless Steel

The Self Clinching range is designed to be either pressed in using a hydraulic press, or they can be pressed in using a guide and hammer to tap them into place.

They have teeth that grab in to the metal by displacing the metal and allowing the teeth to grip in.

The inserts have a grip range based on the thickness of the material they are going in, this is relevant to allow the insert enough room to grip in.

The Self Clinching Nuts and Studs, can be used almost at the edge of the material they are going in to due to the unique way they grip.

Rivetnuts

Rivetnuts or Rivnuts as they are sometimes referred to, are used to create a thread in sheet metal.

Available in a selection of styles

Round, Hexagon (full or half), Open ended, Closed end

With various head types as well

Flat Head, Low profile, Countersunk, With or without Knurling

Available in the following metals Steel, Stainless Steel & Aluminium

Rivetnuts are the most secure way of achieving a screw thread in sheet metal, as they pull up to grip the metal they also help to reinforce the hole the hole that has been created for the insert.

The Knurled option, allows the Rivetnut to grip in to the metal as the insert is pulled up, this in turn means this type has a stronger torque as the Rivetnut grips the metal, the only option to prevent full turn is the Hex versions.

Standoffs

Stand offs available in Steel & Stainless Steel Standard thread sizes from M2.5

Designed to be pressed in, displacing the metal and leaving the head flush.

These allow you to create a space in-between parts being screwed together, they are available closed end or open allowing you to me able to crew from each end, depending on your application

Self Clinching Blind Nut

Round body style, Available from M3 - M6

Self clinching, with a, Rivetnut finish

Available in Steel & Stainless Steel

Installed the same way as a Self Clinch Nut, these then give the appearance of a Rivetnut afterwards

CD Weld Studs

CD (capacitor discharge) Weld Studs

These are available in all thread sizes and lengths. Available in, Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminium and Copper Coated. Internally threaded or externally threaded.

Rivets are still one of the most popular fixings available today.

They are available in a variety of head types as well as lengths.

Rivets

Available in Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminium and even Plastic.

Used for a variety of uses in the sheet metal industry to automotive.

Rivet Bolts

Rivet Bolts, work as a Rivetnut does, they set in the same way after drilling the hole they then grip the sheet metal, but instead of a screw thread you are left with a bolt thread.

Available in various lengths in metric sizes

Available in Steel & Stainless Steel

Square or Round Tube Thread Insert

Inserts For Tubes

With or Without Cap

Double or Single

For Aluminium or Stainless Steel

Rubber Nuts

Rubber nuts, work like Rivetnuts, except they have no memory and are gripped in place the tighter the screw is turned, after the removal of the screw the Rubber nut returns to its original state.

Made of EPDM Rubber with a Brass screw thread, as they become tight they form a watertight seal at the same time.

Various thread sizes and unit sizes available

Steel & Stainless Steel

Panel

Fasteners

Various lengths

Flat head screw & Cross head

Min sheet thickness 1mm

Rivet Bushes provide strong reusable threads and threaded spacers in panels too thin to be conventionally tapped.

Rivet Bush

They can be installed into panels as thin as 0.5mm and do not suffer from the maximum hardness or centreline to edge limitations of self-clinching nuts and standoffs so are suitable for installation into panels of any hardness such as hard stainless steels or in close to edge application

Plastic Screws

Thread forming screws for plastic are widely used in manufacturing, where they can be used as part of an automated assembly process, as the threads on these screws are designed to cut further into the material, providing extra resistance to pull-out and can be inserted without nuts or inserts.

Available in Stainless Steel and Steel, Zinc or Black plated

Hammer Drive Screws

Available in Steel Zinc Plated, Nickel Plated, A2 Stainless Steel & Steel / Electro Brass Plated

Hammer drive screws consist of a round or flat head and a shaft with coarse helical knurling.

Simply driven into a pre-sized hole by hammer or with a press. The knurls grip the inside of the hole and resist rotational loosening.

Used as a permanent, tamper resistant fixing where the need to remove the pin is unlikely.

Simple, low-cost assembly, often used to attach plate materials to unhardened metals.

Thread Inserts For Plastic

Unlike machine screws, do not depend on a tightening torque to be retained in the assembly.

Thread inserts for plastic, can be inserted using a heat pressing machine, this process will form the hole as it melts the plastic then this forms around the insert as it cools down.

Brass Inserts.

If being used by hammering them in a hole will be drilled first, then the insert pushed inside the hole, as the screw is inserted this will then spread the insert out completing the installation process as the teeth grip into the side of the plastic.

Vortex Screws

Unifix s Vortex screws are a technically advanced multi-purpose screw that utilises many features such as the “Sawfix” technology, which is excellent for quick and easy power through a wide range of materials such as hardwood, decking, MDF, plastic, and sheet metal.

Pozi drive recess, sharp milling nibs, double countersunk head, sharp, wide & deep thread with “Sawfix” technology, obliqueangle & sharp gash point
