A Rivetnut is used the same way as a rivet but it incorporates a threaded nut giving you the thread in the place of a grip.
Our range of Rivetnuts have a standard metric thread (a range of Rivetnut sizes and styles are available), they are made from solid 316-grade stainless steel so suitable for marine and salt-water exposure.
Rivetnuts are installed using a Rivetnut application tool, there are manual versions of the Rivetnut setting tool available either for induvial sizes or as a pack with all mandrels
Each Rivetnut depending on its size, has a recommended installation hole size, and grip range (the thickness of material you are installing the Rivetnut into).
