Affton-Lemay Chamber of Commerce Trivia Heine Meine was named after a professional baseball player, Henry William “Heine” Meine. Actor John Goodman graduated from Affton High School in 1970. River City Casino opened in 2010. The iconic “ice cream cone” statue that is in the front of Affton’s elementary school originated from the Velvet Freeze located at Gravois & Weber. The former Lemay Chamber of Commerce office was in the old county courthouse. At the April General Membership Meeting, attendees played a trivia game to test their Affton & Lemay knowledge. More trivia will be in future issues.
