My husband, Jasmin, and I have been married for 23 years and we have 3 children. Two girls are 17-year-old Yasmina, 15-year-old Nadina and one boy, 13-year-old Adin. I was born in Bosnia and left the country when I was 12 years old. We fled to Berlin, Germany and lived there for 6 years before we immigrated to Saint Louis, Missouri in 1998. I started my career in Pharmacy in 2000. I currently own AJ Wellness Pharmacy serving the Affton community. My role as the owner in a small, private setting gave me a greater respect for patients and community. I also volunteer in many different organizations and help patients with their medication needs.

I was already involved, spending a lot of my time volunteering to help with events. I wanted to be more engaged with the community, so this gives me the opportunity to meet more people and build new relationships with the community.
I would like to accomplish growing the membership numbers with the Affton-Lemay Chamber and any new ideas or activities that we can implement that would benefit the community and the Affton-Lemay Chamber.
