LISTENING PITCH: FILM PREMIERES The Listening Pitch is an innovative collaboration between Audible and Aesthetica. We are looking for original stories that demonstrate how listening helps us to understand different points of view. This year’s awards were given to the following filmmakers: Matthew Herbert and Meghan McDonough. We will also screen two of 2022’s winning films: Birdsong and Speed of Sound. For the past 25 years, Houston native Arden Eversmeyer has travelled across the USA to record oral accounts of a fading community – old lesbians. This stop-motion animation documents the legacy of outstanding women who have carved out lives for themselves in a historically heteronormative society.
