Q: What kind of challenges have you experienced so far as a model?
INTERVIEWER: Allaine
PICTURE: Allaine
Q: Can you tell us a little about yourself?
A: My name is Tina Kurosaki and I have been a Model on IMVU going on 4 years now in February. I am a bit of a weirdo but all the best people are. I am also very anal when it comes to my work, I am in every aspect a Professional Fashion Killer
Q: What inspired you to be a fashion model on IMVU?
A: Well, I was a Model on Secondlife for about 10 years and started to become bored because I started to feel like a robot with routine without substance once my RP Family Truebloods quit the game I was forced to find entertainment elsewhere, and that's when I stumbled upon IMVU. Migrating over to VU I figured why not implement my Modeling skills to this platform so I search for agencies and joined. After meeting IMVU Fashion Community I fell in love with it, How supporting and helpful everyone was
Q: What are some of your favourite experiences so far on this platform?
A: One of my favourite experience was meeting my Sensei @neoxie.vl she was Kind enough to take time to teach me the correct way to Model, see when I first started out I was doing Pageants (Its safe to say Pageantry is not for me), It was Sansei who pointed out to me I'm not a Pageant kind of Girl but a High Fashion Editorial one. I am grateful for her and all the Agencies who took a chance on me I can't say I have had any bad experiences so far I have been lucky.
A: My one and the only challenge I have is that I am Anti-Social. This is something I struggle with every day on IMVU and RL. I keep conversations very note and simple with people, it may come off as nonchalant I assure you it is not, since I am Anti-Social when people reach out I kind of become anxious a bit. I am working on this and intend to continue working on it till I am comfortable around people.
Q: What kind of changes would you like to see in the modeling industry on IMVU?
A: Ok so, Since I am Anti-Social I stay away from people in general, this means I would not know of any issues or change that needs to be addressed in the IMVU Modeling Industry. I am sorry I can not further answer.
Q: Describe your perfect day off when you are not modeling?
A: No RL Work, Staying in PJs all day snacking and binge-watching my favorite shows. Oh and Sleep, lots and lots of sleep lol.
Q: Do you have any advice for those who want to start modeling?
A: I will say to start, Find yourself a Modeling Agency to join most agencies will help and teach you the Basics of Modeling. Then figure out what kind of Model you want to be, whether, it's Streaming, Editorial, or Pageantry, and stick to it, practice, practice, practice Never forget to have fun while you are doing it.
Q: Any New Year's resolutions?
A: I would say My Resolution would be to Get out there and meet people, to open up and embrace the world. Stop being Anti-Social for good.
Q: Can you tell us briefly about yourself?
A: First, I would like to thank you for the opportunity! It is a pleasure to be with you today! Well, I'm Winnie Mackenzie, I'm 26 years old, I'm a businesswoman, blogger, mother and completely crazy! (Laughter)
Q: How was “Factor Glam” conceptualised as a brand and what is behind the name?
A: Factor Glam came from my need to meet my vision of beauty, without standards or elitism. I felt that something was missing with quality and accessible to everyone here in our community. The name came from "Glamorous" the first version of glam.
Q: How would you describe your brand aesthetic?
A: Minimalist and objective Glam sells itself I create useful products with extreme quality I really like packaging that is easy to identify and that is beautiful so that everyone can use it and bring out their blogger side
Q: Of all the projects you've worked on, are there any you're most proud of and why?
A: Without a doubt my favourite project was shock glam in partnership with @vt0rie and from there I found my partner who helps me a lot in the creative process Also the line with @girlboss vu it's no secret @vu raay and I love working together It's always a hit
Q: As a creator, what has been your biggest challenge on this platform?
A: Bringing Factor Glam onto IMVU literally Maintaining the online store on Instagram and the in-game store is very difficult for me as a beginner But I never give up I'm happy with the result
Q: What areas of your work or personal development do you hope to explore further?
A: At the moment, I need to explore my creative capacity more, but I'm waiting and taking a vacation In my personal life I am enjoying motherhood, I am the mother of two girls who are my life and one of them is born in a few months! I am totally focused on their quality of life
Q: What would you like to say to all your followers and supporters on the platform?
A: Don't give up on your ideas, do what you want and always strive And don't forget to access @factorglam vu (laughs)
