Allaine T Editor-in-ChiefWe paid Moonsick a visit to her store in New York City where she was already selling her winter 2022 collection There is a certain friendliness emanating from her. She joined IMVU in 2017 when she was still 16. She started creating this year and officially launched her brand on April 13th, 2022 which is her birthday Moonsick`s brand has kept growing up and she is now one of IMVU`s promising fashion visionaries.
Q: You're amazing! You did that by yourself? I am very impressed by your hard work. Learning never ends. Every day, we learn something new. Now tell me, what aspects of the fashion industry would you like to change on IMVU?
A: I would like to change the mentality about fashion in IMVU. There is no right or wrong way to look. Your style is yours. Maybe it's not wrong, maybe it's just new.
Q: Where do you draw your inspiration?
A: I draw inspiration from music, history, art, Black women, the LGBT community, and from many other creators on this platform.
Q: Interesting, how would you describe your brand aesthetics?
A: I would describe my brand aesthetic as modern, comfortable, and badass. When you wear my products, that's how I want you to feel Invincible
Q: And that’s how I feel whenever I wear your products. Moving on, tell me about the projects you’re most proud of and why?
A: Eclipse I made the cutouts on the bodysuits by myself, using my own opacity maps. I know it's not a big deal to some, but I learned something new, and that's what this is all about for me I'm learning
Q: Talk about it, so many creators and models out there are struggling to perfect their art on IMVU. As a model and a creator, what has been your biggest struggle?
A: I love streaming It's fun My biggest struggle, I think, is applying my creativity, time, and kindness back to myself with my own shop. As much as I love other creators, I want to put that same time and love into improving myself I'm not where I want to be yet. However, I am 100% proud and grateful for everything I have achieved in 2022.
Q: Moon, you've always been a go-getter on this platform. In September this year, you won two awards from Iceyest Nation, and recently you were also nominated under several categories. What does it take to be nominated? And how do you feel about this?
A: I am grateful for my awards, and I wish all the nominees good luck I want everyone to win. I don't know what it takes, but if I could give advice, it would be to just be yourself. Find your niche, and own it. Even if no one gets it, source your worth from the inside, and be proud.
Q: Where do you see yourself in the next few years from now?
A: I don't know, to be honest I want to be happy. That's all I can say.
Q: Any advice to your followers and customers?
A: Be yourself I can't emphasize that enough It's very easy to feel pressured, and to hide the real you, but just let it out. If one person doesn't appreciate it, someone else will.
Q: What changes would you like to see in the modeling industry on IMVU?
Allaine PICTURE: AllaineINTERVIEWER:
Q: Can you tell us a little about yourself?
A: I am French-Canadian I have native American and Italian roots I would see myself as creative, empathic, ambitious, and versatile. I am a pure Gemini.
Q: What inspired you to be a model?
A: I have had an interest in fashion since my childhood, I always wanted to be a fashion designer. I love the visuals. Fashion and photography are art The funny fact is I am not a fashionista behind the avatar at all, my style is completely different from my IMVU.
Q: Has your perception of the modeling industry on IMVU changed over time?
A: I wasn't there at the beginning of IMVU but I have been active for 5-6 years now. It did change a lot Before we used to focus more on advertising the merchandise, now it seems to be all about pixel fame.
Q: What are some of your favorite experiences so far on this platform?
A: I`d say I don't have favorite experiences I like to touch a bit of everything. What makes my IMVU journey a great one is the people I meet and the friendship I've made
A: ready for a list?
The obsession about being on Discover. I feel the fame of IMVU is overrated and futile because the recognition is very low in exchange for the energy spent to get into the highlight. There are too many streaming agencies featuring the same creators and models It becomes beyond ridiculous
Last but not the least, Morphs shouldn't be done without giving out credit to original artists. morphing over real people's pictures is a big no
Q: Describe your perfect day off when you are not modeling?
A: I just enjoy being free without having any deadlines to meet I enjoy playing videogames with friends. I like creating jewelry when I have a full-day off.
Q: Do you have any advice for those who want to start modeling?
A: I'd say quality over quantity. Let me explain myself I would never recommend streaming more than once a day Two times might be okay but 3 and over is not really helping the model or the creator. A single slide post per creator is more efficient than 3 separate ones. Review your glitches, and invest your credits in controllers to create unique poses Follow my Twitch channel. In January, I will teach modeling and photography bases for Vu. Check out my Instagram bio at @neoxie vl

Being A Model is about having confidence Being you and authentically you In the modelling industry nobody can take that from you You are you. When it comes to modelling everyone starts somewhere The first thing you need to do is research What type of model would you like to be? Fashion? Hair? Nails? With a agency? Independent and etc Once you figure out a category you’d like to model in I’d suggest following people who model either in the same category as you ,and or similar so you get some ideas on how to write captions, take pictures, the right angle & more Remember it’s about being inspired, not stealing When it comes to modeling, don’t get discouraged by the likes and followers Keep pushing and don’t give up. Yes their will be days where your photos may get 0-2 likes but you know what? That’s okay! Keep posting and get your name out there
Likes and followers come and go, but once you ’ re on the right track, things will flow naturally
Continue to focus on your craft, especially if this is something you plan on taking seriously. Practice makes perfect when it comes to modeling. You will make mistakes, you will learn as you go It’s the journey that’s important, rather than the destination Remember that the people you follow or are inspired by worked hard to get where they’re at Modeling is art and it’s a craft that can lead to many amazing opportunities Now let’s get on with the tips shall we?
Your Instagram page is your resume. Is your bio clear, is your profile photo eye catching Does your bio tell your followers what you do and does your bio enhance your personality? If you ’ re apart of an agency does your followers know that you model for an agency
If your followers don’t know you work with an agency I suggest adding the agency on your bio Do you have a catchy tagline? Make it fun! Make it appropriate Nobody likes models who are arrogant and most importantly nobody likes a model who’s always caught up in drama or just has too much going on in their bio! Minimize swear words, vulgar language and more This way people take you seriously YOU are the face of your page.
YOU’RE THE BRAND! Whatever you ’ re selling, folks want it!
This is what will make or break your page Don’t over do it with the filters Make sure your avatar is in hi-definition Look at what you ’ re wearing and who you ’ re wearing Are their products high quality? Is the mesh head you ’ re wearing clear so when you take a *hiressnap that it’s clear? What about your avatar? Do they have too many accessories going on that it’s distracting?
These are things as a model that you have to consider If you want to get yourself out there you have to look at yourself outside the box
If a business was to ever view your page are you someone they’d consider modelling for a brand? Shop around the IMVU shop and find products that are high quality. If you go to other peoples page you can definitely see the difference in high quality and low quality
To get your name out there and build your brand, is to collab with other models They don’t necessarily have to be anyone with high followers Reach out to models who have under 5K followers. When you message these models keep the message short Some models may require you to pay them to collab
If you ’ re into that, there’s no harm in doing that Message other models via DM or even message them on IMVU
A fun way to get your name out there is making reels Reels are very popular on social media, anywhere from try on videos, shouting out creators and even making dance videos with trendy dances
Wearing creators products are the easiest way to get your name out there Most creators use their IMVU name as their Instagram name So it’s easy to search When you wear their products the key is to wear majority of their products Make sure the products you wear are easy to see and identify so when you tag them in your photos they can see their products right away
Don’t forget the photo must be clear and high definition Utilize pose rooms for cute backgrounds and trendy props if you are looking for cute rooms to take pictures in Search Jestina, Jaleya6, GodMotha, Jestyna, Envying
When it comes to modeling, having multiple avatars and pose spots are essential They add the itfactor to your avatar You don’t always have to buy pose packs, sometimes avatars and posing spots are great too because not all Pose packs may have what you ’ re looking for and sometimes most pose packs have poses that are similar Either or are great to have and utilizing all versions of poses are great to have. Being a model means covering all your bases because you never know.
