Highlights

The "No Silence, No Tolerance" National Awareness Campaign for GBV prevention, lead by EFI, was carried out during the month ofMaywithhighimpact

Three community dialogues organized with local communities in Irbid, Zarqa and Tafilah, in the framework of the “No Silence, No Tolerance”campaign.

H.E. Spanish Ambassador to Jordan, along with H.E. Governor of Aqaba and HE UNFPA Country representative, inaugurated the new Safe Homes in Aqaba SOS Children’sVillage

Efforts were made to integrate project partners into the National Family Violence Tracking System to improve the reporting ofproject’sbeneficiaries.

Continuous capacity-building activities, workshops and training were conducted on issues related to GBV prevention andresponse.

New partnership established between AECID and Information and Research Center - King Hussein Foundation to improve knowledge for effective GbV preventionandprotection.

Throughthiscollaboration,weaimto provideasafeandsupportive environmenttoempowerthesewomento rebuildtheirlivesandfacefuture challengeswithconfidenceandstrength. Thisinitiativeisnotjustasteptowards providingimmediatesupportbutalongterminvestmentinabrightand sustainablefutureforfamiliesinourregion

In May, following the launch of "No Silence, No Tolerance" National Awareness Campaign, the implementationphasetookcenterstage,featuringasocialmediacampaignthatreachedover1.6 millionusersonMetaplatforms

OnX(Twitter)thecampaignreached231,100impressions,andonYouTube4,160 ngsupportforgenderequality

Community dialogues were heldinZarqa,Tafilah,andIrbid, engaging 130 participants. These events facilitated discussions on violence, prevention and gathered valuable recommendations for future actions, addressing social norms and enhancing economicempowerment.

Amongtheseactivities,averyspecialFGAC'sinteractivetheaterplayaddressedissueslikeeconomic violenceandharassment,fosteringcommunitydialogueonsolutions. Thecampaignsuccessfully raised awareness and generated positive engagement, reflecting widespreadsupportforits objectives Key themes included support for women in leadership, gender equality, and hope forchange.

In July, NCFA held a training on the National SOPs targeting 26 participants from service providers to raise organizations' capabilities on case management and determine the roles assignedtothembasedonnationalmethods

NCFA held a “Partnerships and referral pathways”workshoptoenhancecollaborations andexchangeexpertise.

IncollaborationwithNCFA,thepartnersworkedon theirintegrationintotheNationalFamilyViolence TrackingSystemtoimprovetheirreporting

Tafila Women Charity Society (TWCS) coordinated a training session on GBV for young women, p Young Women Program”, and held an awareness s youthsexualandreproductivehealthissues

15 legal awareness sessions were conducted by JCLA to 293 beneficiaries, the majority of them females and Jordanians. The sessionsfocused,inparticular,inthe South and North of the country, TafilaandIrbid

Acomprehensivetrainingcoursewasconducted byIFH,incollaborationwithNCFA,inMay,toequip Irbid IFH’s service providers (14 participants) and CBOs(6staff)withnecessaryskillsandknowledge to implement and apply the accreditation and quality control standards IFH also held a workshop in May for 20 persons fostering exchanges among Centres of Excellence that previously received this accreditation including awardedIFHSweileh,ZarqaandKarakcenters.

InJune,JusticeCenterforLegalAid(JCLA),conductedatwo-daytrainingon“CommunicationSkills, Stress Management, Positive Adaptation, and Time Management”, for 15 staff, based on a previouslyconductedneedsassessment Additionally,JCLAheldatwo-daytrainingfor13membersof FGAC,coveredessentiallegaltopicsand JordanianLaborLaw. Thetrainingwasasuccess,asthe percentageofknowledgebeforetrainingwas47%,thatraisedto96%afterthetraining

Fivesiblingsfacedunbearablechallengesafter theirfamilyfellapart,thatforcedthemtolivein an environment lacking the most basic necessitiesoflife.

Their lives were filled with challenges and hardships from an early age Their suffering beganwhentheywereconfrontedwithaharsh reality.Theirparentsseparated,andtheirfather, who was abusive and addicted to drugs, was frequently in and out of prison Their mother, meanwhile,remarriedtoanotherman,andthey were left with their father. The siblings were left withouteventhemostbasicunderstandingof personalcareandlivedinahomedeprivedof essentials

Lana(pseudonym),21,tookontheresponsibility of caring for her five younger siblings with little support, forcing her and her sister Nour (pseudonym),19,todropoutofschool

Underthesedifficultcircumstances,theyarrived to SOS Children's Villages Jordan, in a state thatrequiredurgentintervention.

Arouba, the psychologist at SOS Jordan, and Monda, the Safe Home Project Manager, described the children's condition when they first entered the Safe Home as dire, suffering fromsevereneglectandcruelty

Withinthe“One-StopShop”model,theteams managed to intervene promptly upon their arrival and worked on integrating them

through empowerment training, providing continuous psychologicalandmedicalsupport, along with legal services that included consultationsandregularfollow-ups.

Before the intervention of SOS, their brother Rami (pseudonym),15yearsold,wouldwakeupearlyto work and then return to sleep for short periods, makinghimvulnerabletoadoptingbadhabitslike smoking However,afterarrivingattheSOSJordan, his life changed significantly He began committingtotakecareofhisphysicalhealth He becamemoredisciplinedandnowenjoysplaying footballasastrikerwiththeotherchildren.

LanaandNourdreamofspecializinginthefieldof “Cosmetology”, and through the project, they will be able to work in Al-Hussein Bin Abdullah II Industrial Estate. They will receive a seed fund, along with an upcoming vocational training opportunityforNour,enhancingtheirchancesof building a better future and achieving their dreams

Lana and her siblings experienced a significant transformation, gaining confidence and better lifeskillsthroughtheproject'ssupport

"Mylifewasnoteasy;itwasfullof difficulties Thankstothisplace,my lifehaschangedforthebetter. Despitethechallengeswefaced,I discoveredmystrengthandselfconfidence Iknowthefuturewill bringbiggerchallenges,butnowI knowhowtofacethem"

Today, the comprehensive services provided to them have made their dreams and goals possible, and they have regained their right to enjoyastableandpeacefullife.
