ArcelorMittal is an international steel company that produces and sells steel in many countries around the world. The development of the steel mill site is a complex process that must take into account many different aspects in order to ensure a successful future for the company. The preliminary design concept was developed in four stages. The first stage of planning, the Analysis of Possibilities and Constraints, examined the information available to the steel mill and analyzed the existing condition and problems encountered. The most important obstacles standing in the way of the development of the site were identified. In the second stage, the development of alternative forms of land use and the redesign of existing factory facilities, various options for the future of the steel mill were developed. The potential and limits of the various options were examined and a preliminary design concept was developed. In the third stage, the development options, the four different options for steel production were considered in detail and the advantages and disadvantages of each option were analyzed. The impact on the environment and the local community was also taken into account. In the fourth and last stage, the recommended measures, the results of the previous stages were summarized and the recommended measures for the future of the steel mill were presented. It was also taken into account that the submitted documents do not contain detailed technical requirements or cost calculations and no formal consultations with technical or other public bodies were carried out.
