STRACITTADINA SN4IFUN RUN IS WITH CVS LAZIO

Stracittadina DN4IFUN Run has a strong solidary soul; as it has always been in the history of this event the partnership with CSV Lazio (Voluntary Services Center) is fundamental, partner that will organize a new edition of “Together for the Common Good - Good Deeds Day”, the great event that promotes solidarity end the practice off good actions, as volunteering has always done: together for the common interest.

Come to its Eight Edition in Rome, “Together for the Common Good - Good Deeds Day” is an event of social activation at an international level taking place in a hundred countries of the world with Four million subscriptions. It is promoted in Italy by CSV Lazio, Volunteering Service Center of Lazio.

Good Deeds Day is characterized by solidary initiatives and interest in the common good, spread in the city of Rome, thanks to the widespread presence and activity of volunteers associations. This is why it has received for two years in a row the medal of the Presidency of the Republic. This year the GDD is taking place on Sunday 19th March, coin- ciding with the Fun Run, and on 15th April concomitantly with” Rome cures Rome”, another event that is promoted by community Roma dedicated to the citizens’ active participation to social life.

On Sunday 19th March about 100 of Associations that joined the event will wait for the participants in the amateur race at the 5km finish line: Circo Massimo. The concerned area will be prepared with stands of the associations that will have the role of presenting themselves and involving the citizens in games, sports and cultural activities, preventive healthcare initiatives and much more. A day of 360 entertainment for both adults and children, and for your furry friends too.

As every year whoever wants to run can subscribe at the Stracittadina also thanks to the volunteer organizations that join the Good Deeds Day, providing their activities with a small contribute. Along with the voluntary support program implemented by Fun Run in partnership with CSV Lazio, the associations can collect the subscriptions and keep part of the outcome to invest in developing the several work in progress projects.

Together to… realize our dream at Acea Run Rome The Marathon. In 2023 the special group of helpers for people with disabilities is back again.

Acea Run Rome the marathon is an event for everybody, marvelous mean of inclusion and sharing. As it has happened in Rome for many years, there is room and cheers for the helpers who report to INiX, that stands for ‘Insiemeper..’. it is a title to be completed and continued with ‘realizing our dream’, but it could be anything. The important thing is “Insiemeper…”, that is officially a sports club affiliated with EPS (UISP); INiX has in its DNA the purpose and the possibility of doing, that can and must meet with the opportunity of doing.

Chaired by the engineer Guerrino Fosca, ‘Insiemeper…’ will be realizing a dream at the Marathon of Rome for and with others. Francesco D’Andrea, one of the five funding members, defines it: “We are here for others, for whoever wants to realize their dream - says an enthusiast Francesco - to let a person with disabilities to run a marathon in their wheelchair is the combination of two dreams: the helpers’ the helped ones’.

At Acea run Roma the Marathon there will be helpers and helped ones in the usual proportion 1:1. The group will be formed by 21 kids in their wheelchairs and the same numbers of helpers.

Since 2021 Acea Run Rome The Marathon has applied an important sustainable development policy for Italy’s biggest and most attended sports event. An Iso20121 certification has already been obtained, and the reaching goal is more and more ambitious.
