THE MARATHON RUNS WITH SAPIENZA
Sport and science meet at La Sapienza with a rich carnet of speakers about several aspects connected to these topics.
The importance of dealing with sports with a scientific knowledge is growing; from this concept starts the collaboration between ”La Sapienza” and Acea Run Rome The Marathon that results into a debate on Thursday 16th March in the Aula Magna of SapienzaSport Sports Services Center of University La Sapienza Rome.

After the institutional greetings, thanks to a carnet full of speeches, the morning will start with the topic of “how to train and run a marathon from every point of view: legs and head”, followed by the debate about “how to set a world record” and “sustainability and communication of big events”, a very popular topic.
The first part will be concluded with a space about art and sustainability topics, before switching to the afternoon and dealing with the topics of “medicine and sports sciences” and ” training in sport area.
The end is left for the “importance of certified competition ability of the runner”, “the effect of the environment on the sport performance” followed by “nutrition and marathon” and, last but not least, “doping and running”.
ROME – At 28th Acea Run Rome The Marathon’s eve, behind the scenes you can see a special list, the list of the “Senators” of the event, athletes who have always reached the finish line of every edition.
THE SENATORS experience and deep love that bonds these men to the mar athon of the eternal city, these are the “Senators”, men just live the marathon of Rome as an almost visceral call. Their passion was born with the same event, they have been here from the first mo ment, for 27 editions, they never backed out, not even when the marathon took place a few months after the previous one, as it happened after the Rising Race Special Edition of September 2021, followed by the traditional event in March 2022.
