THE MURAL OF ACEA RUN ROME THE MARATHON, ART AND SPORT MEET SOCIAL RIGHTS
Project that or awards the runners with a mural dedicated to Acea Run Rome The Marathon is starting.
The preparation of a very special project is awaited, bond to Acea Run Rome The Marathon, the realization of a mural that remembers forever on epic event like the one of Sunday 19th March. The goals to achieve is the realization of the mural, right while the athletes are passing by during the marathon, and it was entrusted to UrbanUtopia, a creative studio specialized in Arts and Urban Regeneration, based on the idea that imaginative power and visual culture can be a driving force capable of transforming a city and a community giving a new value to the city spots.

THE MURAL - The idea of a mural dedicated to Acea Run Rome
The Marathon generates from the concept that this marathon is a big gesture of love for sports and for the eternal city. The mural will be realized in Via Giovanni Volpato 20, a wall of 5x4 meters facing the kindergarten Fantasia and that is part of the 10th kilometer of the race. The mural wants to leave a tangible trace of the passage of the marathon and to connect at the same time sport and social environment of the neighborhood so as to leave a positive sign inside a path filled with historical and scenic wonders.
THE ENVIRONMENT - Tt the base of the whole productive process of the project there is the reduction of waste and the use of natural based paints. The focus on the environment has led the working group to look for innovative materials. For the first time in Italy the mural will be realized with anti-smog paints, thanks to a product that immediately activating photocatalysis of the pollutants of the atmosphere. This is a solution that allows to safeguard the technical and creative aspects of the realization of an urban arts project, adding a cleaning power to the surface.
THE ARTIST - Since this is a feeling of strong sports and didactic meaning, and at the same time the necessity of realizing that might merge with the environment of the city, the choice fell on the artist LuogoComune from Cremona, who has a long tradition and experience in the field of urban art and printed illustration. A very analytical approach to the context and a representation filled with colors and symbols that give a unique sensibility to his creations inspired directly by the Italian advertisement graphics of ‘900 merged with graffiti urban language.
