It will be the first Italian race to test waterballs.

Finally, the NotPla Ooho waterballs take the field in Italy, edible balls made of seaweed that revolutionize the way in which liquids are stored by substituting the necessity of disposable plastic. Naturally biodegradable, 100% without plastic and vegan, they contain 50 cl of water and they can be eaten right away without leaving any waste nor thrown in the compostable waste, when disposing, where they would deteriorate in a few weeks. The waterballs are therefore the solution to hydration while moving during the big mass events where they are a good substitute to disposable plastic glasses and bottles, also reducing the necessary effort for the afterwards cleaning.

The waterballs are easy to manage and to transport to refreshment points in terms of the volume of the materials, and have had an enormous success in the London Marathon in 2019.

Acea Run Rome The Marathon will be the first marathon to test 5000 waterballs that will be placed at the refreshment point of the 15th kilometer.
