» ASACS is a comprehensive program providing prevention education, and counseling services to 11- to 19-year-old ID card holders in the military community. ASACS’s mission is to provide comprehensive counseling services to adolescents and military families stationed OCONUS while enhancing military readiness and quality of life. In addition, ASACS offers Life Skills classes that promote health and personal development in the Department of Defense schools. We participate in supportive activities related to mili-

tary life transitions as well as provide individual, group and family counseling services. ASACS counselors’ offices are located in Department of Defense schools for the convenience of military families. ASACS counseling services are completely confidential. » MFLCs are licensed clinical providers who assist service members and their families with issues they may face throughout the cycle of deployment to reintegrating with their family and community. The MFLC Program provides short-term, non-medical counseling support for a range of issues including: relationships, crisis intervention, stress management, grief, occupational and other individual and family issues. Psycho-educational presentations focused on issues common to the military family including: reunion/reintegration, stress/coping, grief/ loss and deployment/reintegration. Youth World Cup Soccer Tourney KMC District Soccer invites local soccer fans to join the club as it welcomes more than 75 youth teams from around Europe to the KMC area to compete in a U.S. Youth Soccer Europe “World Cup” tournament June 8 to 9 at the club’s fields in Schwedelbach. The tournament will take place from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. both days. Under-7 through U-13 boys and girls teams will play on Saturday, while the U-15 and U-17 teams will play on Sunday. Everyone is welcome to come out and watch some of the top youth teams in the region play in the endof-the-year tournament. KMC is the largest district in Southern Germany affiliated with the U.S. Youth Soccer Europe program. All teams play in the Deutscher Fussball-Bund

Summer Soccer Camps This is a great opportunity for youth to enter into a fun and athletic activity that is designed to deliver an action-packed week of fun, skills and games between June 18Aug. 24. The goal is to assist youth soccer players to achieve their playing potential through proper techniques, fitness and conditioning development. Professional coaches will provide a vast range of training, theories and conditioning. Open to boys and girls from ages 3-18 and all military I.D.

Fall Youth Sports Registration Youth sports will be offering soccer, cross country, volleyball, flag football, cheerleading, dodgeball and tackle football. The age for each sport varies from 5-15 years old. Practices are offered on both Landstuhl and Sembach posts. Registration is open from June 1 to July 19 or when teams become full. Please note a current sports physical must be on file at time of sign up, no exceptions and must be valid through Nov. 15. Register on WebTrac, in person or over the phone. For more informa-

Start Smart Fall Registration Youth Sports will be offering Start Smart Soccer & Flag Football for children ages 3 & 4 during the fall sports season. Start Smart is not a team sport but rather a parent-child interactive program, led by a CYS staff member. Registration is open from June 1 to July 19. Sessions for flag football will begin in Aug, followed by soccer in early Sep with both being offered on Landstuhl and Sembach posts. Price is $25 per child.
