Zygoma implant surgery
Zygoma implants are a valid alternative for patients suffering from serious forms of jaw bone atrophy that can be implemented both with the classic protocols with deferred loading and with immediate loading. By using zygoma implants, the more complex procedures of bone grafting and maxillary sinus lift can be avoided, contributing to a shorter and more comfortable treatment.
There are many benefits to using zygoma implants for rehabilitation, in clinically suitable cases with severe bone atrophy in the maxilla:

The surgical techniques are:
CLASSIC TECHNIQUE
ATROPHIC POSTERIOR MANDIBLE , where the zygoma implant is placed on each side of the jaw, in combination with 2-4 conventional implants in the anterior area.
ZYGOMA QUAD TECHNIQUE
TOTALLY ATROPHIC MANDIBLE , positioning conventional implants is not possible, therefore this technique involves the insertion of 2 zygoma implants per quadrant, connected to each other in a single session.

Zygoma surgical kit
The surgical kit consists of a single box containing all the surgical and prosthetic instruments required for osteotomy, positioning the implant and its prosthesis. Includes surgical box made of Radel (non-toxic, autoclavable, metal-free).

BURS FOR INITIAL PREPARATION
The bur for initial preparation allows you to mark the point where to start the preparation (Marking Bur) and to easily drill the cortical bone. Diamond burs allow you to prepare the drilling direction of the zygomatic bone by creating an orientation groove in the maxillary bone.

ZYGOMA burs have a laser marked letter to easily recognise the diameter. Each diameter is available in two different lengths. Depth references are milled and laser marked. External irrigation burs. Diamond Like Carbon surface treatment.

PROSTHETIC DRIVER
The ZYGOMA implant system has only one type of prosthetic driver (1.2 mm hexagon) with which to screw and unscrew the prosthetic components. The prosthetic drivers feature the W&H hexagonal coupling system.
IMPLANT DRIVERS
The implant driver is equipped with a retention system to hook the implant, take it, transport it and finalise the positioning. IT IS equipped with the W&H hexagonal coupling system and with a reference that allows you to check the radial position of the implant's hexagonal index (which indicates the position of the hexagon apex).

ACCESSORIES
The ZYGOMA system features accessories to facilitate specific surgical or prosthetic operations. The Depth Probe is graduated and has a gripping tooth to verify the position of the basal bone. The dynamometric ratchet has an adjustable control of the screwing torque (10-70 Ncm) and can be used both for the surgical phase and for the prosthetic phase. The surgical kit can be completed with a tray useful for managing autologous bone or for bone substitutes.

The MUA system provides a solution for screw-retained restorations even on implants that are complicated to rehabilitate (for example on inclined multiple implants). The MUA system includes a complete line of products designed for zygoma implant rehabilitation. Available in different heights, they connect to a wide range of complementary products. Sterile-packaged with transport carrier suitable for easy control of the prosthetic emergence. Use the prosthetic driver to tighten the retention screw. Made of Ti gr.23.
