AARP Tax-aide; Dancing to the Beat of a Familiar Tune

A dedicated and dynamic pool, AARP Tax-aide volunteers’ never seem to lose their groove! In 2022, nearly 600 community members were able to enjoy the benefit of having their 2021 tax returns processed at no cost. The document drop-off method, which was introduced for health safety reasons the prior year, proved to be an effective move. A greater number of individual returns can be processed throughout the season which is a very popular outcome for a rather unpopular occurrence. A tax appointment scheduling center, also staffed by volunteers, was established for the first time this year. Callers quickly connected with a volunteer scheduler to confirm an appointment which resulted in a very happy dance!
