Adrenal fatigue: What it is and how to overcome it Adrenal fatigue is a consequence of the level of stress we accumulate each day. Adrenal fatigue is one more consequence of the level of stress we accumulate every day. Adrenal fatigue, or hipoadrenia, is a disorder related to the suprarenal glands whose most characteristic symptom, and frequent, is physical and mental fatigue, but an extreme fatigue that does not go away even with rest. A condition that can be billed to health and has been defined as the stress syndrome of the 21st century. Learning to recognize the signs that alert you to your presence is the best way to overcome adrenal fatigue.

What is it? Adrenal fatigue, as we have pointed out, is the deficiency in the functioning of the suprarenal glands producing a lesser amount of cortisol. The two adrenal glands are located above the kidneys and are responsible for the production of different hormones (endocrine system) involved in the functions of the organism. Among them, cortisol, which directly affects our emotional state. Both the excess and the defect of cortisol have consequences for the organism. The lifestyle, the eating habits, cause in many cases our organism is subject to a burden of intense and prolonged stress. When this happens, the glands are forced to do an extra job, which eventually would cause them to run out, giving rise to adrenal fatigue. Also, this disorder is associated with respiratory infections (the result of influenza, pneumonia or bronchitis) or prolonged treatments with corticosteroids. Symptoms Fatigue and general malaise are the most common symptoms, but not the only ones:



Physics and mental fatigue



Sadness
