All the items in this line of jewels are one of a kind: hand painted spontaneous seedlings and real leaves impressions into polymer clay. Each blend is made by the designer from the primary colors and inspired by fashion seasonal palettes. The creations by ADèLe aim to `eternalise` the natural shapes that populate Salento. Between land and sea.
ADèLe was born in 2013 in Lecce at the Merzbau contemporary lab. Mainly two-tone, the first creations capture the poetic simplicity of leaves in a micro snap-shot, hand `cut` in clay. This is how mis-matched earrings come to life, due to become the primary brand denotative element, especially on Etsy.
While cross-branding with Nonaprirequellarmadio in 2015, vintage interferences become noticeable. At the beginning, in the attempt to reproduce atmospheres inspired by Coro, more recently with a more accurate research in the Art Nouveau style.
Since 2016, thanks to hand made blends based on the seasonal Pantone fashion reports, the (often floral) patterns of inspirational designers, daringly enter in the `small photographs`. Shades increase, finishings include silk cords beside rolo chain and, more recently, fragments of flowers and leaves, begin to blend with clay.
`Japanisme`, already entailed in much of the Art Nouveau, becomes an influence `per se` from 2022. And it does so also with relief elements. From the impression to the handmade mould, to explore the three-dimensionality while still pursuing the aim of `eternalising` the natural original. Pods thus turning into mysterious sea creatures…
Entering the three-dimensionality from handmade moulds could not but call for precious metals, beginning from recycled silver… These are the first attempts of a project which aims to include enameling and gold leaf.
The black side, not necessarily dark, of ADèLe. Initially thought as a `Halloween entr`acte`, the Wednesday phenomenon turned it into a permanent line, also with quotational magnets…
