DIVINE GUIDANCE FOR 2013

raise the Lord, Hallelujah! O clap your hands all ye people, shout unto God with a voice of triumph. Thanks be to our God for his goodness has brought us into the New Year of 2013. I declare a happy, joyous, prosperous and a double blessings to all our family members in Total Redemption Ministries, to Pastor Joseph Sarpong and the family at C.E.M., to pastor Dan Donkor and the family at GFIC, all pastors and all members of the kingdom of our God.

P

This year must not be the same as last year. We must take delivery of all that God has in stock for us. I want to talk about divine guidance or leadings briefly as space will allow me. It's so critical, we cannot fulfill destiny without following divine guidance or leadings. A wrong step can cost you even your very life, your ministry, your family, your marriage, your business etc., it could impact any aspect of your life. Every step either takes you backward or forward. I believe one great mishap is when one does not know where he/she is heading or/and how to get there. Many have rushed into certain open doors only to discover they are traps in disguise. We need God’s direction in any decision we make in life. Oftentimes the decisions we make in life are 4

w w w. a d o n a i m a g . t v

based on our assessments, which may not be absolutely correct. Everything may look right and satisfactory to human mind but may end in frustration. That is why the God of all knowledge repeated himself verbatim in proverbs 14:12, 16:25. “there is a way which seemeth right unto a man but the end thereof are the ways of death"

When God makes DOUBLE EMPHASIS on an issue, we better take it seriously. Men at their best mental state are incapable of making reliable and durable decisions. The greatest experts in this world with the best equipment and methods cannot equal divine guidance. Our ways will lead us into destruction. Please understand that we are limited as human beings. Our thoughts on issues are not his thoughts. We need to be divinely directed because misdirection can lead to many years of set back and can even wipe out a man’s destiny. Can you get to Maryland from New York when you are traveling north instead of south? Staying on the wrong track for a long time don't make it right either! Everyone needs divine guidance. Jesus the most anointed walked in divine guidance. The Bible said in (John 5:19-20,30) Jesus could do so much becont. on pg. 23

e are gradually creeping close to the final stages of God’s plan for the late great planet earth and the second coming of Christ Jesus. We are witnessing certain developments that clearly speak to the power of our God and His word concerning the times; developments that are clear fulfillments of the prophecies in Zechariah Chapters 12 and 13. The said prophecies describe the gathering of the nations against the nation of Israel with the City of Jerusalem playing a critical role in the rallying cry of the nations; and how those who burden themselves with Jerusalem or Israel, and seek its oppression and possession shall be broken to pieces. Does this latter piece of judgment look familiar to the reader from the perspective of current developments in the Middle East; where a nation that has become the linchpin for terrorism and other destructive activities against the nation of Israel, is suddenly imploding from within? If this is not a fulfillment of Zechariah 12:1-3, then I wonder what is.

W

The city of Jerusalem has suddenly become the rallying cry of the European Union and even the United States in a sudden consternation of the nations of the world; with some going to the extent of threatening the nation of Israel with the boycotts of its goods, and the recall of their ambassadors. What is it with the rulers of the world that makes them blind to the most tragic and horrendous slaughter of the citizens of a nation by its own rulers in recent memory in Syria(45,000 killed at the last count); only for them to wake up to become obsessed with the declaration by Israel to build apartments around Jerusalem? Is it just the desire to help promote the establishment of a Palestinian state to bring about peace between them and the Israelites; or the working of prophecies that need certain circumstantial developments to trigger their fulfillment? Our ability to understand these developments in 6

w w w. a d o n a i m a g . t v

the now and the coming years will be critical to our preparation as the Church of God for the second coming of Jesus Christ. The Prophet Zechariah lays out the scenario in a vivid picture that clearly relates Jesus’s second advent to such destructive intents of the rulers of the world against the nation of Israel, with Jerusalem being the central bone of contention. There is nothing the rulers of the world can do to resist the divine pull to involve themselves in this endtime doomsday ganging-up against the nation of Israel; because it written in the Holy Book that the Most-High God will put it in the hearts of the Kings of the World to do so, in order to provoke divine judgment. It is also not in their power to understand and avoid such a development, because the bible says that none of the wicked shall be able to comprehend these global developments (Rev. 17:17; Daniel 12:10). It is a similar phenomenon that will usher in the Anti-Christ against the tide of the most rationalistic period in human history; because it is written in the Holy Book that Jehovah God would blanket the world with a strong delusion for men to believe a lie (2Thess. 2:11).

The stage is clearly set for the complete fulfillment of the statements in the Bible pertaining to the second coming of Christ; but the scriptures say that the wicked shall continue to do wickedly and none of the wicked shall understand. Only the wise that has the ability to discern spiritually from a divine perspective shall understand and react appropriately (Daniel 12:10). It is, therefore, crucial for us as believers to stay awake in the days ahead; understand, brace ourselves, and stay on top of the global events unfolding all around us; because they are not mere coincidences, but divine permutations that are meant to set the stage for the second advent of the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “What I say onto you I say onto all, WATCH” (Mark 13:37).

Be Holy

visit www.adonaimag.tv for more articles

n 1 Peter 1:14 and 15, we are told …as the One Who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all your conduct and manner of living. For it is written, You shall be holy, for I am holy. Now that’s a tall order because most of us struggle from day to day with issues and actions that make us feel more unholy than holy. We want to be holy…but sometimes that just seems much easier said than done. Well the good news is you don’t have to make that happen! In fact, you can’t become holy in your own strength. Yes, God does expect us to live holy, consecrated lives. But not even the best of our intentions can make it happen. Thankfully, He doesn’t expect us to make ourselves holy. He just wants us to learn to depend on Him to make us holy.

I

That’s where grace comes in. Now grace is not a license to sin; it is the power to live as God desires us to live. It is through His Holy Spirit that we learn, by obeying Him, to live a holy life. There is absolutely no power in our human effort to live holy. It is only by His grace. And the result of receiving grace is we get better at living like Christ, which is something we all want, right? But answer this: How much do you want it? Do you want to be better—to live holy—badly enough to give God everything? Will you surrender your all to the Holy Spirit’s work in you? Because the truth is, if God is dealing with you at all, it is because He is working in your life. He just needs your cooperation. Romans 12:1 tells us to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship. You see, we can’t just get “zapped” into holiness. Holiness must be chosen. We are each responsible to present our own “all” to God. Sanctification, which is the process of becoming more holy by God’s grace, is an individual process. We are all in 8

w w w. a d o n a i m a g . t v

different places in our relationship with God, and He deals with each of us in our relationship with Him. That’s why there is no room for us to be judgmental of one another. When God deals with us about something in our life, we do not have the right to go and try to correct another person’s life. This only causes problems in relationships with others. If God wants to deal with that person, He will. We just need to learn how to let Him deal with us personally and mind our own business. You see, holiness is not something we attain, but a state of being God calls each of us into by His grace. So we need to keep our personal convictions personal. God does not deal with us all the same way or at the same time. Sanctification is an individual…step by step…little by little…slow but sure process that begins with a seed. When Jesus comes to live in our hearts, the seed of holiness is planted. Then the Holy Spirit begins the work of watering that seed by leading us personally according to His plan for each life. And God is always at work in us. We just need to learn to cooperate with Him so the work will go a bit smoother. So, how does this work happen? Through two main things: the Word and the Spirit. God’s Word is Truth. But no matter how much of the Word we think we know, it is only by the power of His Holy Spirit that this truth gets worked into our lives. We must receive His Word humbly and not be prideful, because again, it is the Holy Spirit, not ourselves, doing the work in us! Here’s one way to look at it. The Bible likens the Holy Spirit to fullers’ soap, a very strong purifier (see Malachi 3:2 KJV). I remember one time when I was having spaghetti for dinner after a conference and I was wearing white. Well wouldn’t you know, I spilled some on my clothes. The first instinct is always to immediately wipe if off right then and there. But how many know that all you get from that is a big messy stain? That’s the way it is with our human effort to cleanse ourselves.

Victory Over False Labels

YOUR BOOK SERIES GRAB COPIES NOW “Two images from my childhood come rushing to mind when I think about the person I am today, and why I am drawn to sharing my story with young girls and women all over the world”, said Marie-Claire Nabila Kuja, Founder and CEO of False Labels Global Inc., and the author of “The False Label Series”. The first image was from the first time she was treated like an outcast and told by many that she will never amount to anything. Having a child as a teenager and out of wedlock was wrong, but not as bad as earning her the names she was called. The second image was from the way her son was treated. Not only did people call her useless for having a child out of wedlock, they pinned that stigma on her son, calling him a bastard. It was so emotionally hurtful and destructive that it completely damaged any sense of self-esteem she possessed. Anytime she heard people call her names, it reminded her of what she was not. During that period in her life she was uncomfortable, insecure, struggling, and at war with herself; until she got tired of fighting, and one day decided to turn things around. She was determined to know why she was created, and to what purpose she was called in life. While on a quest to find her life’s purpose, she started writing to herself (a journal). Gradually she noticed it was becoming a journey, not just a simple destination. 10

Marie-Claire Nabila Kuja, Founder and CEO of False Labels Global Inc

They were real life happenings at that moment. She’d completed two to three pages a week, and they were thick, full, and ripe with feelings and thoughts. Amazingly, anytime she was down and read from her journals, she felt like an angel was talking to her; it felt so uplifting. People around her will read them and said: “Oh! I totally felt this way or I relate so much—”. She became so fascinated with people’s stories and truths, how they were perceived by others, and how that didn’t necessarily jibe with what they felt. People would say: “she’s so put together” but didn’t know what a struggle her life was. They also didn’t know how apart she was from herself. She wished there was a book like this when she was growing up, because she had so many different struggles centered around negative belief systems she had formed, based on what other people said about her. This is a universal struggle. Women from other parts of the world were relating deeply to her daily struggles and triumphs as she walked with God. She realized that she was not alone. The question then became what she could do to help empower their minds and spirits, and the generations to come? At that point the idea of having a strong voice became very confronting. She made a pact to share her story with the millions of girls throughout the world, cont. on pg. 14

whose lives have been complicated in the past by cultural practices and religious beliefs. She strongly believed that there is a potential that could be unleashed in young girls throughout the world if they were given the opportunity to believe they are JUST ENOUGH. Thus she established a nonprofit organization called, False Labels Global Inc. Presently awaiting its 501(c)(3) status whose vision is empowering young girls and women throughout the world especially underserved communities, for global leadership through the building of self-esteem & confidence. Her passion also motivated and inspired her to write and publish two bestselling books [third one coming soon]; all of which are centered on the building and restoration of self-esteem and confidence in young girls and women.

The book series and her NGO unveil a new energy that must take the whole world to action and a new vision of what must be done to save women and girls wherever they are. Prior to this understanding, Kuja was not fully aware that society makes millions of similar victims daily. She did not watch and cry over it, but decided to break her silence by taking a self-empowerment journey and going beyond her brokenness to work towards helping others stop the menace and inspiring millions across the globe to do the same. When all is said and done, her target is to reach young women and girls throughout the world, so as to help tip the scales and usher in a more compassionate world; one in which every woman can believe she is enough. The Most Loving Act You Will Ever Perform

visit www.adonaimag.tv for more articles

he 4th chapter of John tells us the familiar story of the Samaritan woman who met Jesus at the well. It looks at the dysfunction that occurs any time we fail to trust entirely in God.

T

The woman was stunned when Jesus asked her for a drink. After all, he shouldn't even have been speaking to her. As a woman in the Jewish culture of the day, she ranked no higher than property. Worse, she was a Samaritan, a race despised by the Jews. She was also an adulteress who'd been married five times and was even now living in sin. Jesus offers living water to broken marriages, broken families, and broken lives just as he did for the woman of Samaria.

Those were three strikes against her, and yet still Jesus spoke to her. Better than that, he offered her a new kind of water than that which came from the well.

From her scandalous lifestyle, Jesus understood that she was desperately trying to get her needs met through relationships with men. She thought lovers could fill the emptiness in her life. Her mistake left a trail of divorce and disappointment. Her failed attempts at relationships did not quench that thirst. Why? Because only God can meet our deepest needs. The Samaritan woman's dilemma is a common one even today. Many of us, Christians included, seek satisfaction from the tangible people and things around us, rather than finding our fulfillment in God. Jesus tried to move her focus away from the world and onto the eternal. He wanted her to understand the limits of human provision—that she would still be thirsty even after drinking the well water.

"Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again," he told her, "but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst." This water, Jesus said, would become "a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life." (John 4:13-14)

Our Lord reminds us of the same thing. When our primary dependence is on God, not only does He fill the inner void in our lives with His love and presence, but He also uses us to bless others. The "fountain of water springing up" describes the overflow of God's blessings out of our lives and into the lives of others.

What a life-giving response! The woman wasn't just shocked that Jesus treated her as a fellow human, but also at his offer of a much deeper relationship.

That's why I want you to understand this: the most loving act you will ever perform for yourself and your family is to seek and serve Jesus Christ.

Jesus didn't stand by the well to judge the woman, but to heal her. His heart of compassion poured out to her as it does today toward us. He offers living water to broken marriages, broken families, and broken lives just as he did for the woman of Samaria.

He will transform you from the inside out. He will prepare you to love as you've never loved before. He will change your marriage, your family, and every aspect of your life.

2013 Our Year With Jesus nother year has come with bright shining stars, and all of us must put behind us the failures of the past year.

A

Children, sometimes we need to forget about the things, which brought shame to our parents. Having entered a new year, I beseech you all to be serious in your life and put into practice some of the things we studied last year; for example, Obeying God, living a good life, Reading your Bible, attending Church services, and respecting Elders. It is time to understand that your prosperity in life depends on you and, therefore, it is important to set your eyes on God and study very hard this year to achieve more success in life. The Bible tells us in Psalm 16:812 that David set God before him and all that he needed came to pass. I would again encourage you all to be serious in life with the things of God. The bible again teaches us in Luke 2: 41-52 that Jesus matured, growing up in both body and spirit, blessed by both God and people. 18

w w w. a d o n a i m a g . t v

Even at the age of 12, He reflected maturity beyond His years. People were amazed and marveled at Jesus’ understanding of the things of God. By His reply in Luke 2:49, one could tell that He already knew who His Father was, though His parents did not understand what He meant by being in His Father's House, and tending to His Father's business. As we focus on God’s word and prayer, going to church & Sunday school, we grow in God. We have a daily relationship with God, just like we do with our Parents, sisters, brothers, or friends. We cannot get to know family or friends if we don’t spend time with them and listen to them. It is the same with God. We need to spend time with Him to get to know Him – and by getting to know God we grow closer to Him, and grow as Christians. So, why not spend time with your best friend, Jesus? You should all prepare yourselves very well as you did during Christmas, when you prepared your best. I wish you a Happy and Prosperous New Year.

Leading Social Change visit www.adonaimag.tv for more articles

013 is the “Year of Change”! Change is in the air! Everything is changing! Change is the greatest challenge of our times. Without Change there can be no improvement, but not all Change is Improvement! The pace and nature of change is exceeding our ability to manage and respond effectively to it. The impact of change on our political, social, economic and spiritual environment is threatening the very foundations of our Societies. We must decide the changes that will produce the quality of life we deserve and desire as God’s Creation. I am pleased to declare 2013 the year of “KINGDOM LEADERSHIP TRANSFORMING SOCIETY” with a focus on “Leading National Spiritual and Social Transformation.” Our Mandate: Transforming our post-modern Society through Kingdom Leadership Impact.”

2

UNDERSTANDING 2013 The number “13” represents “New Beginnings, starting fresh, new phase or dimension, unity, renewal, transformation and Change” and implies closing of an old chapter and the opening of a new phase. In 2013 you can expect “complete change” in all areas of life.

THE AGE OF TRANSFORMATION The one word that describes the present environment in our globalized world is “Transformation- Change”. Some experts are calling it the age of the “the new normal”. We witnessed the so-called Arab Spring, International and domestic Terrorism, Failed States, the Global Economic Crisis, and massive unemployment, and, the fall and disgrace of Political, Civic Corporate and Religious leaders. The most striking change in our world today has been in our “Moral Compass” generated by a transformation in the traditional values that once served as the bedrock and foundation of our society. This must be addressed! The spirit of Liberalism and lawlessness is producing a culture of permissiveness, compromise and immorality resulting in a reengineering of a culture of death, moral decay, and devaluation of human life, generational disil20

lusionment and Social Confusion. We are entering an age of change that, if not checked, challenged and Transformed, will lead our so-called post-modern world toward a destiny of spiritual and social disintegration, darkness and decay. The greatest remedy for darkness and decay is light and salt. It is in this environment that the Message, Mandate and Mission of the Kingdom of God are mandatory as The King Jesus Christ declares; Matt 5:13 13 "You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. 14 "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. NIV It is this Kingdom Mandate that becomes our Ministry’s motivation this year and creates the framework for our focus on KINGDOM LEADERSHIP and its impact on the social fabric of our society.

A CALL TO ACTION The “KINGDOM LEADERSHIP TRANSFORMING SOCIETY” MANDATE is a call to action and involvement as we engage the Political, Legislative, Economic, Cultural, Civic, and Social life of the nations with the Principles, Precepts, Priorities, Values, Morals, Keys and Spiritual and Natural Laws of the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth. The 2013 scriptural mandate establishes the foundation and commission for our entire Ministry for the year and details the principles for Kingdom Social Influence in every sphere of national life: READ FULL ARTICLE AT www.adonaimag.tv

Healthy Lifestyle Tips for the New Year

he New Year is here and along with it comes enthusiastic resolutions about our health that are often forgotten or discarded one week after they were made. This often happens because most of the goals we set for ourselves are not compatible with our daily life routines. However, the following tips are healthy lifestyle choices that we can make on a daily basis that will result in positive outcomes for our overall health.

T

1. Stay Physically Active. Sedentary lifestyles are more common with people who spend hours sitting at a desk all day at work. Unfortunately, a sedentary lifestyle can lead to illness and obesity. The American Heart Association noted that physical inactivity is a major contributor of coronary artery disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and obesity. Therefore, it is important to get up and move around at least once an hour when engaging in sedentary activities. This is important because staying physically active increases endurance, builds muscles, improves fitness levels and reduces stress and feelings of depression. Additionally, a brisk 30 minutes walk once a day can greatly improve one’s health. 2. Utilize Down Time. Adequate sleep and relaxation are essential to good health. If you don’t allow your mind and body to take a break from continual activity, your stress level will increase and you may be more susceptible to illnesses. Periodic time-outs and 6 to 8 hours of restful sleep can restore your energy level nightly and allow you to perform better during the day.

3. Improve Your Mental Outlook. Managing stress by overeating, drinking alcohol or practicing other negative behaviors can result in anxiety and tension headaches. However, Help guide suggests that keeping a realistic schedule with time in it to do something that you enjoy everyday can keep your mental outlook fresh and reduce related physical complications.

4. Choose Healthy Dietary Options. Most of us are creatures of habit, but eating as much as we like of the same foods daily can result in deficiency in certain nutrients and weight gain. However, if we practice heeding the recommended serving sizes and eat a variety of foods that are low in fat, we will be more likely to control our weight and get all the essential nutrients necessary for healthy bodily functions. The American Diabetes Association recommends eating more fish, fruits, vegetables, beans and whole grains and limiting fat in meat and dairy products. The New Year represents a time for new beginnings for most people and what better way to start anew than to improve one’s health. These healthy lifestyle tips combined with prayer and fasting can greatly improve our ability to achieve our goals and objectives for this year. 3 John 1vs.2 tells us that above all we are to prosper and be in good health even as our soul prospers. It is my belief that this is God’s will and desire for us so that we can be productive Kingdom citizens and contributing members of society at large. Reference Ashaki Miller RN, BSN
