Yury is a concert pianist and a Doctor of Music Pedagogy specializing in Music Theory & Composition, Classical, and Jazz Improvisation. Yury has taught for Broughton Music & Art Center since 2002, and has led staff, with several awardwinning students, for MMA performance competitions, and is a devoted champion of his students. Yury has appeared as concert pianist in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Poland, Greece, Russia, Latvia, Vietnam, United States, and more. Performing in the Kremlin Concert Hall was a highlight in his solo career.
FREESTYLE SAXOPHONE DUET MAY 5TH
Mike Letovsky, native of Montreal, has a Music Diploma from Vanier College, a Bachelor of Music Degree from McGill University, and a Bachelors of Education from The University Of Western Ontario. Mike is a founding member of Reed-Works Sax Quartet, leads the Ambassadors Big Band, plays in the Stardusters Big band, and the Michigan Jazz Orchestra. Eric Lundquist learned piano and accordion at an early age and was a member of the Don Large “Make Way Youth” chorus on WJR-AM in Detroit. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force Band at Torrejon Air Base in Spain, studied saxophone with Snr. Mst. Sgt. Jay Walker and flute with Bernard Goldberg of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. After completing his military service, he was student conductor for the University of Detroit Chorus. Eric has played across Michigan including at the Detroit International Jazz Festival, Michigan Jazz Festival, and the Birmingham Jazz Festival.
MATTHEW BALL MAY 31ST

A national touring act, pianist/vocalist Matthew Ball performs New Orleans and Swing Era favorites. A graduate of Oakland University and lifetime Metro-Detroiter, Matthew trained classically with Flavio Varani, a graduate of The Paris Conservatory and Manhattan School of Music, who traces his own pedigree of study back to Chopin himself. Matthew has established himself as one of the leading entertainers in Michigan.
