MESSAGE FROM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
LOIC VINCE
“Spring is coming…Time for some cleaning. Remove all the self-doubt, worry, jealousy, regret, anger, guilt, or any other negative emotions that are holding you back from your happy, fulfilled life.” - Nanette Mathews It finally feels as though Spring has sprung here at All Seasons Ann Arbor. This winter felt longer than most due to the rise in new COVID variant cases and the long cold days of winter, but the community made it through with a positive mindset and great respect for one another. I want to express my gratitude to each of you for making this community the best place to reside in Ann Arbor. As we look ahead, I thought I’d highlight a few of the things that the team and I are thrilled about. Our next culinary journey includes an 8-episode “Around The World in 80 Days” miniseries followed by a gastronomy pairing of special dishes from each episode’s featured country. In May, we’ll head south of the border to learn more about Mexico’s culinary traditions. In celebration of the birthday of Thailand’s Queen Suthida, “A Taste of Thailand” will follow in June. Finally, Angela Swan and our Life Enrichment Team have been working meticulously and joyfully to provide a fantastic agenda to enliven your senses. Some of the highlights this quarter include the second season of the All Seasons Chorus directed by a Music Education graduate student, a presentation on courage and perseverance by a cross country cyclist and author, poetry workshops in honor of National Poetry month, and events with the Artistic Leadership of Detroit Public Theatre about their hit show “Detroit ‘67” by Broadway playwright and Michigan native Dominique Morisseau. I encourage you to invite a new neighbor and try something new. As always, if there is anything I can do to facilitate your fullest enjoyment of All Seasons, I am at your service. 3
