Transferring to a new institution can be an overwhelming experience! To help make your transition as smooth as possible, Charlotte offers several tools for you to utilize as you prepare your application.
Use this online database to view how credits transfer to Charlotte from other institutions.
Use these plans to identify courses that lead to associate degree completion, admission into a major and bachelor’s degree completion if you are transferring from an NC community college.
Use these downloadable documents to identify major-specific or prerequisite courses that will transfer toward your Charlotte major.
Review your official course-by-course transfer credit evaluation in your portal after your offer of admission.

You are responsible for requesting official transcripts from each of the colleges you previously attended. Official transcripts should be sent to UNC Charlotte Undergraduate Admissions. Monitor the status of your application and supporting documents in your Future 49er Portal.

Financial aid offers primarily include grants, work study employment, student loans and parent loans. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.gov so that Charlotte can determine your financial aid offer. Include our school code (002975) on your FAFSA application to ensure Charlotte receives your application.

After being admitted, set up your NinerScholars Portal application to be matched with eligible scholarships. Choose from the available scholarships and submit your application directly in the portal. Most scholarship deadlines are April 1. We strongly encourage you to apply early!
