“Romagna territorio d’aMare” è da diciassette anni la guida che vi accompagna nella conoscenza del territorio romagnolo sia nei mesi estivi che in quelli invernali.

Oltre ad informarvi sui principali luoghi da visitare nella nostra Cesenatico, troverete anche una descrizione dei Comuni limitrofi come: Gatteo, Bertinoro e Sogliano. Inoltre troverete buone ricette, alcuni consigli su dove poter pranzare o cenare in locali tipici e/o di specialità marinare, e gli eventi che avranno luogo nel nostro territorio.

Questo opuscolo che è distribuito negli uffici di informazione turistica e negli alberghi di Cesenatico è l’espressione più completa dell’amore per la nostra città ed il nostro territorio e desidero che tutti gli ospiti possano godere delle nostre bellezze visitando i luoghi di interesse con le proprie auto o con mezzi organizzati dal nostro Consorzio di promozione turistica denominato “Cesenatico Holidays by Alberghi Tipici di Romagna”, che ogni settimana organizza interessanti escursioni: informatevi presso il vostro albergatore di fiducia!

- il Porto Canale disegnato da Leonardo da Vinci nel 1502;

For seventeen years “Romagna Territorio d’aMare” has been your guide in the discovery of the region of Romagna, in both Winter and Summer time. Besides informing about the main points of interest in our beautiful town of Cesenatico, this small guide wants to inform you about facts and events happening in the Summer time in the neighbouring towns such as Gatteo, Bertinoro and Sogliano; it also provides advice on where to eat typical food and seafood specialities or you will find good and traditional recipes of the territory.

This booklet will welcome you at your arrival in your hotel or you will find it at our Infopoint (located in Cesenatico –Viale Carducci). To us it represents the highest expression of our love towards Cesenatico and our territory and we wish visitors will enjoy discovering and visiting our hinterland by car or simply through the daily tours, organized by our Consortium of tourism promotion Alberghi Tipici di Romagna and Cesenatico Holidays. In the meantime, I invite you to take a walk in the heart of Cesenatico visiting:

- the house of the Italian writer, poet and novelist Marino Moretti (1885 – 1979)

- the Canal Harbour / Porto canale designed by Leonardo Da Vinci in 1502

-Marco Pantani’s museum called “Spazio Pantani” in memory of the “Great Pirate” and his victories in cycling races

- The shelter where Giuseppe Garibaldi and with his wife imprese;

- l’androne dove trovarono rifugio Giuseppe Garibaldi e la moglie Anita prima di raggiungere la pineta di Ravenna, dove lei morì;

- la Piazza delle Conserve dove un tempo si conservava il pesce e le derrate alimentari, refrigerati da strati di ghiaccio o neve compressa;

- il Teatro Comunale di Cesenatico;

- quello che da sempre è stato un punto di riferimento e il simbolo di Cesenatico per eccellenza: il famoso grattacielo costruito nel 1958 su progetto dell’ingegner Eugenio Berardi di Lugo seguendo i canoni architettonici del dopoguerra. Con i suoi 118 metri di altezza è stato il grattacielo più alto d’Italia fino al 1960, anno di completamento del Grattacielo Pirelli di Milano;

- per arrivare all’apice delle nostre bellezze con il Museo della Marineria dove potrete ammirare le antiche imbarcazioni di una volta, ancora vive e galleggianti sull’acqua del nostro Porto Canale.

Vi invito infine anche nel periodo natalizio a visitare il presepe galleggiante che viene allestito su tutte le barche del nostro museo.

Dal momento in cui iniziate a conoscere la vera Romagna, con tutte le sue bellezze e prelibatezze, grazie alla vostra intuizione di trascorrere la vacanza qui da noi, non ci potrete più dimenticare perché questo è un “territorio d’aMare”.

- the “Conserve” square: the conserve are truncated cone-shaped wells which were filled with snow and ice to preserve fish and other foodstuffs since the 16th century.

-Cesenatico’s Municipal Theatre

- the famous skyscraper, iconic symbol of Cesenatico, built in 1958 designed by the engineer Eugenio Berardi from Lugo di Romagna, which follows the architectural standards of the post-war periods; 118 meter- high, it has been the tallest skyscraper in Italy for two years, until 1960 when the Pirelli skyscraper in Milan was built.

- Unique in Italy, the “Floating Marine Museum” is one of the most attractive and photographed marine scenes of the Mediterranean.

I also recommend you to come to Cesenatico in Christmas time, to visit the only floating Nativity Scene in the world, where the boats of the Marine Museum become the stage for the so-called “Presepe della Marineria”, featuring 50 life-size statues inspired by the lives of ordinary people living in Cesenatico. The Nativity scene becomes even more evocative at night when thousands of lights are reflected on the canal waters and bring the figures to life.
