Interactive Beauty Retail Spaces

The B+Tube collection retail space launched in Changsha, China is designed by Li Kang and Arlia Hashim. Specializing in "skincare, make-up, travel and lifestyle products, all focused around the idea of freedom of expression," B+Tube targets Gen Z consumers and is all about experimenting with beauty.

The brand showcases its vast collection inside a colorful and immersive space, spotlighting high tech, interactive elements. These include engaging product information areas, interactive advertisements and product testing stations that blend physical displays with digitized video screens.

The B+Tube collection retail space speaks to Gen Z consumers' appreciation for interactive elements when it comes to retail. The store is also vibrant and aesthetically striking, featuring cathedral-like elements that are photogenic and social media-friendly.

Cooler Screens Brings New Look To Retail Innovation

Chicago-based company Cooler Screens developed the interactive digital displays to replace the glass doors in store cooler aisles. By replacing the traditional glass display doors with high-definition, multifunctional video screens, Cooler Screens not only displays products and information but creates a brand-new revenue stream for retailers.

Leveraging digital out of home experiences in essential retail locations offers a powerful and unique opportunity to improve the consumer experience and connect with shoppers at point-of-sale. The Cooler Screens formula is based on captivating consumer audiences at the point-of-sale and enabling brands to connect with shoppers at the new last mile of advertising.

Because these next-gen freezer doors are equipped with sensors and video imagery, merchants are also given real-time updates on shelf space and inventory. This technology is a value combination that has never been possible before for brick-and-mortar retailers.

Eco-focused Product Packaging Furniture

The 'TEMP Chair' has been designed by Hoyoung Joo as an ecofocused seating solution that makes use of an unlikely material to change perceptions of what can be used with packaging.

The chair is crafted with sheets of plywood that would be found on furniture packaging to hold all of the components securely in place during transport. The various sheets are held securely in place using a series of nylon tension straps to ensure a tight, secure design that is also inherently easy to assemble and disassemble.

The 'TEMP Chair' observes a potential use for materials that would otherwise be perceived as waste to help rethink what's possible when it comes to raw materials in the retail industry.

TikTok makes major move into ecommerce with Shopify partnership

TikTok is further investing in social commerce with a new global partnership with e-commerce platform Shopify. The deal aims to make it easier for Shopify’s over 1 million merchants to reach TikTok’s younger audience and drive sales. The partnership will eventually expand to include other in-app shopping features.

At launch, the agreement allows Shopify merchants to create, run and optimize their TikTok marketing campaigns directly from the Shopify dashboard by installing the new TikTok channel app from the Shopify App Store. Once installed, merchants will have access to the key functions from the TikTok For Business Ads Manager at their disposal.

These ad tools allow merchants to create native, shareable content that turns their products into In-Feed video ads that will resonate with the TikTok community.

GUCCI BEAUTY TEAMS UP WITH SNAPCHAT TO LAUNCH NEW PORTAL LENS AS PART OF PERFUME PROMOTION Gucci Beauty has teamed up with Snapchat to launch a new Portal Lens as part of the marketing promotion for the new Gucci Bloom Profumo di Fiori fragrance.

The lens will be available to Snapchat users for a limited time as part of the promotional period, with the company stating that it ‘blurs the lines between two universes, Profumo di Fiori explores the true heart of Bloom, offering an exploration of imagination, freedom and identity mirrored by the radiant floral signature of the new scent.’

The partnership follows similar promotions by Gucci that utilize technology and AR to tap into a younger audience and offer an immersive experience.

SEPHORA SINGAPORE TO OFFER BUY NOW, PAY LATER PAYMENT TERMS

Sephora Singapore is set to offer consumers a buy now, pay later payment scheme following its recent partnership with BNPL service Atome. The retailer will offer flexible payment terms across its website, mobile app, and bricks & mortar stores in Singapore.

Reflecting the change in consumer buying habits, buy now, pay later schemes are rapidly being adopted across retail.

Alia Gogi, President of Sephora Asia, said: “The shopping behavior and profile of Sephora customers has evolved in the last few years, but especially so this year. They expect a secure, seamless and easy payment experience as well as flexibility and choice in how they shop and pay for their beauty products online, on mobile and in-stores“

Altavia Ibérica managed the production of L’Oréal’s Office decoration.The Garnier reception area included decorated wooden furniture and a diffuser of coconut scent. The elevators’ mirrors were creatively decorated with a foam image that seems to be falling on the head of the person being reflected.
